COWS DA42 Released!

This is just an outstanding addon. Right up there with the very best.

Agreed. If the update lives up to my expectations (the generic G1000 was its weakest point) this addon will knock down the Comanche from the throne for me personally. Looking forward to trying it out after work.

Help me understand. How is it broken?
Itā€™s not great, but ā€œbroken?ā€

you look at it wrong and it resets

So stop looking at it wrong!

Youā€™re not sucking me into that oneā€¦

Iā€™ve changed everything in the apron.flt to have the fuel valves off and supposedly the alternator switches off as well - but the alternator switches still spawn in the on position. Iā€™m going by the apron.flt for the default DA62, but Iā€™m guessing thereā€™s something different tied to your alternator switches. Is there another parameter that Iā€™m missing?

And just a heads-up - it appears that the model has all-new mapping too, so repaint need to be done over. I have a copy of the Deluxe Red texture folder that I recolored to blue and I had to completely redo that one.

Just updated Cows DA42 and went for quick flight and I noticed the rubber isnt working! The pedals move but the rudder doesntā€¦Is there something im missing?

It seems to work once I get in the airā€¦but not on the ground

I have rudder issues while taxing too. It disappeared for a moment after going to the control settings but occurred again soon - it is uncontrollable (on the ground).

Do you guys use FS realistic?

Thatā€™s a good question. I had a rudder issue in another plane that was solved by turning off the enhanced rudder control in FSR.

yes I do have FS realistic. Should I turn it off when using cows DA42?

mmhā€¦The livery from flightsim.to does not appear anymoreā€¦

Indeed I did. Without FS realistic running, the updated DA42 works fine. Thanks!

Maybe try keeping FSR, but turning individual elements off one at a time. Itā€™s good that it saves profiles for individual aircraft. So I can keep ā€˜Rudder Washā€™ on for most aircraft, but off for the ones it interferes with (so far only one, but the DA42 might be another.)

Thereā€™s too many cool things in FSR to give it up completely, and overall it seems like it doesnā€™t cause many problems.

yeah that prop wash feature (on a twin???) breaks the plane

The mapping changed, so 3rd party paints have to be redone.
