CPU Upgraded Ryzen 7 7800X3D

One simple upgrade has made a massive improvement on the sim both in 2020 and 2024.
Old CPU = Ryzen 5 7600X FPS was not fantastic somewhere in the mid 30’s ish sometimes lower depending where i was and what i was flying.

New CPU Ryzen 7 7800X3D = wow absolute game changer for me FPS is now a steady 60FPS with high setting at 1440, sometimes it will drop to low to mid 50’s depending where i am and what i am flying, but wow money well spent in my book.

and all this is running with a RTX 4070, so any out there looking for a decent CPU upgrade take a look at this CPU, like i said i am running it along side a 4070 and its awesome.

I upgraded to the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and have a ROG Strix 4090 and I must say I’ve never seen fps like this ever. 100+ on a Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57” at 240Hrz and 7680x2160. It is a little pricey, but if you already have a zen 5 motherboard, I would seriously consider the upgrade.

Hmm, I just got a new PC with an I5 13600KF and also a 4070 and 32gb DDR5 5600mhz ram and I’m getting those same numbers. Coming from Xbox it is a real game changer haha. I got my system for $299 total. If I told you how you wouldn’t believe me.

What CPU did you upgrade from?
I’m not convinced the performance jump from a 7800X3d is worth the expenditure.

I have a system with 7600x and 4070. In my opinion the upgrade does not give this boost ( CPU usage in game 35% with qhd resolution preset ultra ). If you could kindly do a test ( with 2024) with the airport of your choice and graphics settings on high and with your new 7800x3d (excellent CPU) so as to have feedback?

Finally gone over to the dark side eh? Or departed the dark side LOL! I’m thinking I might get a PC this year, but then again, waiting to see how other’s PC set-ups pan out in 24. Good luck!

You won’t regret the freedom. I remember having an Xbox having previously had a pc and it’s freedom to do what you want.

Thanks. I tell you what, it’s changed my whole perception on FS 2024. I got this deal on an open box Corsair vengeance for $299. Unbelievable.
