I don’t have
I highly doubt that FS 2020 will be released on Xbox on November 10th. Speculation is that this will happen in August 2021.
“Year 2021” is from the mouth of Jorg.
I have same system, but in 1080p and high settings, maximum is 55fps and 30~35 fps in cockpit view.
Play around with the sliders, some make little visual difference but a massive difference on performance
In the last Q&A they promised that in update 6, we would get noticable perfomance improvement, around 6-10 fps, depends which gpu you have. Where is it, Asobo???
I think i got some performance boost.
I think I did too, but it’s always hard to say for sure, and I admit I’m a beginner. But now I can see (using AMD Ryzen Master) that all 8 cores are working while flying, and while I can’t swear to it, when I last looked into this issue (several weeks ago) it appeared that one core was doing almost everything. They are all active now.
And I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to post this! Noob.
Can anyone confirm if they have higher gpu usage than before? I’m not seeing any improvements with cpu, still cpu limited on airports.
My CPU usage is higher as far as I can tell. I’m not seeing any clear FPS increase. My GPU is still maxed out, but it is a 2070S and I’m running 4K with High settings.
i9-9900k
RTX 2070S
64gb ram
1TB SSD
4K monitor with 4k resolution High settings Glass cockpit on medium.
2070s is still very strong gpu, on handcrafted airports everyone is cpu limited, that’s where we should see those improvements and higher gpu usage.
I may be misunderstanding. I have always been GPU limited, and my CPU usage has been low. Never been CPU limited. I am seeing higher percentage CPU usage now than before (if my memory is correct). Shouldn’t with use of more cores the CPU usage increase?
With better cpu optimization, your cpu usage should go down, and your gpu usage should go up, result of that would be higer fps and less stutters. They said that in their testing they saw around 6-10 average fps increase, people with higher end gpu should see more than people with lower end, but everyone should see some improvements.
ok, thanks. my cpu usage isn’t the bottleneck, so I guess I won’t see any change with my system even if they do something in a later patch.
I did not have bottlenecks before, sim is running very smooth. I suppose that people reporting fps issues, stuttering and so on using fast systems have software or hardware problems.
I5 9600KF, 32GB Ram, ROG STRIX B365-F GAMING, Asus RX5700 Strix, SSD Samsung 860 EVO, 1 gigabit connection.
FS2020 Graphic setting High and some Ultra settings.
After the update all runs very smooth indeed.
I flew the payware MB 339 jet and for the first time I didn’t had any framedrops or sfutters whatsoever… great update i must say.
Placebo effect? There has been no fix concerning the stutters
They said “it should be” and that it was “in testing.” That’s not a promise.
Oh, well, than it’s okay, they can do this every q&a then, as long as they say should.
They don’t always have to include optimizations in a patch, since most tweaks can be transfered trough their cloud services.
And if you don’t see any optimizations on your system, well, maybe it’s because your part of the world haven’t received any yet.
I’ve tested my system before and after so it’s definitely not a “placebo effect whatsoever…
