Not sure if this helps anyone …but my experience:

On Thursday / Friday of last week 2024 suddenly starting CTD on every occasion I tried to use it.
I had just installed the new Nvidia driver (580.88) so assumed it must be that …so rolled it back …but alas no change!

So put the new driver back in, and after a few more attempts and a bit of ‘slow down and look at this logically time’ …I realised it occurred repeatedly after selecting free flight (that’s pretty much all I use) and then as soon as I selected my aircraft …2 seconds then CTD!

So shut down one more time and then re started but left the sim on the opening screen and did not make any selections for approx 10 mins.
…Then selected my free flight & aircraft etc and all was good …no further CTD’s and has been working fine (can select all straight away again) all weekend!

To me, it was almost as if it was busy loading / updating something and any attempt to start the game (by going further than the opening screen) during this caused it to CTD!

OK..this is probably a good thing.

One thing that might be helpful if you have not yet tried it, and that is to RESET MSFS 2024 through, Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This is always a saving grace for me. It will however, wipe clean your community folder clean, unless you have all your scenery and aircraft linked somewhere else, like I do, otherwise, you’ll have to re-install again. I see that you issue is mainly with KLAX enhanced and maybe even KLAX default. Would you happen to have another third party .bgl file for KLAX hidden somewhere in MSFS 2024? Perhaps something you downloaded from a third party site and just forgot about?

Suddenly im not able to ffly into EDDB or even load into the Airport (Aerosofts) anymore, as soon im getting closer to EDDB CTD, happens when zooming in on the worldmap aswell….

But, nothing has changed so far on my pc …. last flight on which the airport was loaded was on July, 21…..first thought its the SU 3 Beta, but happens on SU 2 too …. i have noooo idea why…. its the aerosoft-airport-berlinbraandenburg package, as it was the only package installed and still CTD after hours of try and error ….

The dump files, the etc are always the same …..

Is there anyone who has a “dictionary” for looking up the buckets…. the bucket id …or can someone explain all the stacktraces and strange “things” inside dump files …. it makes me crauzy … why arent there any tools in 2026 which can just write down what went wrong …. :slight_smile:

Plot thickens….

Decided to see if this CTD issue exists on another system I have (AceMagic Tank 03 i7 12700H, RTX 3060 12GB VRAM, 32GB DDR5, 1TB nVME, 4TBnVME) Windows 11 Home 24H2 26100.4770) This is a clean install of MSFS 2024 with no add ons. Also, a clean install of GPU drivers 580.88 (No NVIDIA app).

It does indeed exist. Did the same flight scenario (free flight) KLAX 25L and when I click start flight it freezes then shortly thereafter CTD.

I just had several successful flights from inibuilds KLAX after the install of SU3.
