Crash to desktop without error message

Reinstall (update) radeon drivers.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a conflict with Seagate Toolkit, disabled it and it loads fine now.

Congratulations. After three months of relatively stable and fluid play, a disaster. 15 minutes loading time (3 minutes before the update). After three minutes gameplay CDT. Dear Asobo team, unfortunately you are falling back into old times and turning a running game into a data junk.

After last update MSFS is once again unusable CTD on every plane no messages just CTD no matter which plane. Drivers are updated every piece of hardware I own is up to date. The simulator was running fine until latest update.

Sorry Sir,

I was furious at the moment coz of CTD.
I will find the answers for these 2 causes.
Thanks for the advice. Respect

Hi, CTD with no error. Event pasted below. Latest update, no OC. Was working all right before the update. I had the traffic turned on, maybe it was it, but I am sort of losing my temper now and will check the traffic later.

EDIT: yes, CTD was caused by AI Live traffic turned on. No problems when it’s off.

I have not experienced many CTD in FS2020 till now. This last update the CTD happens frequently and without error message. Also, if I am allowed to fly without the new CTD feature going off I’ve notice performance issues when landing at KSEA. I have an i7, 64GB RAM, RTX2080, M2 SSD.

Just Info guys.
I’ve been playing MSFS for about 3 month without CTD. but this week i got like 14 CTDs.

What is ‘maximizing tab size’ mean? Thanks

the middle one

@justcallmeghai I tried that still CTD for me

It is normally called Full Screen or Windowed option.

Hi Micha, thanks and sorry if my question sounds like a noob..is this relevant for the CTD, or that you can read the logs?
Daniel

Maximize is not the same as Full Screen.

MSFS runs in either a modified “Windowed Full Screen” or traditional Window mode. In Window Mode the sim can be resized, minimized or maximized just like any other Windows app. To switch to Full Screen from Windowed press ALT+ENTER. Pressing again will return you to Windowed.

@justcallmeghai is describing standard Windowed mode. Their CTD ceased when maximizing that window rather than viewing it in ‘resize’ mode.

Hi Daniel..

your error screenshot show us combination of c0000409 & ucrtbase.dll which is usually thrown if users not installed the US lang pack. This results also in CTD.

( example post: Game Crash - Dont Work - Error ucrtbase.dll - #7 by MichaMMA .. example forum search: Search results for 'c0000409 ucrtbase.dll' - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums )

PS.: and no.. question is not like a noob

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that doing another full uninstall with DDU followed by reinstall of the graphics drivers has fixed the CTDs (for now that is). Also, i have set the Sim to run as admin (not sure if that helps)
