That seemed to work for me. Flight has got along a lot further than previously.
yes.. some users have issue which are not fixed with any kind of the hints. But’s reason is not clear, lots of users have no issues with CTD.
An idea was that the map-update caused some issues, but if you also crash in Europe..

The hotfix after just release didn’t help with this issue. The Midwest US and Great Lakes seems to be more of an issue for me, while the West Coast gets jittery.
I have downloaded hotfix 40 minutes ago, since then i had 5 CTD with no error. On the version that ‘needed’ to be hotfixed i had NONE CTD.
2 of them was at game startup.
1 at main manu while clicking a button.
1 at Ready to fly
1 in flight.

After two weeks of the downloads freezing I finally got the game reinstalled and all the content downloaded again, only for it to crash when I try to load a flight plan, or select an airport, or zoom in on the world map too fast, or leave the menu open for too long, or change planes, or scroll through liveries too fast, or try to change the time. Basically any action has a chance of causing MSFS to freeze and crash, and I have to kill the process in Task Manager. I’ve opened MSFS about 25 times so far today, and I still haven’t been able to make it to a successfully loaded flight. It wasn’t anywhere near this bad when it first launched, I don’t understand how it’s become so much worse. It’s literally unplayable, and all I’ve gotten from official support has been standard troubleshooting tips that I’ve already tried a hundred times. I’m at my wit’s end with trying to get it at least let me load a flight.

I just tested the last update and yes.. still not able to end a complete flight of 20 min. I just got the simulator so the only version I know is this almost amazing simulator where I depend more time waiting than playing. I hope a solution… for now it’s feels like money easy. So sad.
I also just tested the new update and did NOT have any issues (no CTD or any other issues).

did you had this issue before lat hot fix? I think.. if you never got this issue.. probably this will also not affect you. But if your where annoyed with this issue and this last update fix it. I will be more that thanks you if your explain exactly in which stage of the game you got CTD or what did you touch to fix it. Thanks! Otherwise.. we already know.. a lot of people.. dont have this issue.

Tried most advices here. Turned off all overclocking. Still CTD randomly without error message…

Im having CTD since the update yesterday… But Im not able to fly… The CTD comes when the first america loadings screen shows up.
As I did´t cange anything on my system except the update - an all worked the day before - its the update that causes the CTDs in my opinion.
I already opened a ticket and they are now investigation my msinfo…but i think at last there will be a new installation.
Nevertheless…I thought they will ruin christmas for all of us with the next planned update…now they did it earlier to some of us.
Hope it gets fixed somehow.
Exactly the same here. I had no issued at all until today, CTD just after the initial load screen.

Since USA update my game allways crash. I played in ultra without any crash since August. And since this new update, i can’t even play in medium. Crash when in city, i just can play in no man land…like grand canyon. No city anymore…
What seemed to work for me the best was disabling all background apps in windows and making sure any community add ons or mods are current and up to date . Been lucky so far but I believe a lot of it has to do with community add ons . I had too many CTDs before .

Check your windows settings disable all and I mean All your background apps.
what i dont understand is that i had 0 CTD from August to the release of the US update. And now i just get CTD…This evening, i start the game 5 times. 5 CTD when loading is quite complete.
So boring. I spend more time to load than to play. What a shame.

I indeed understand your frustration trust me I have been there too. Spent more hours like you in settings than flying and troubleshooting.
i can play when i put “low”…So…it’s not very beautiful. Before this update, i had “ultra” setting working. This update would be better called downgrade.
