Crash to desktop without error, only works in offline mode!

now I can start the game normally but deactivating all the parameters of the online game, at least I have internet on my computer, XD

Hi, how fast is your internet connection? what is the brand of your graphics card?
I found that:

Causes of “error code 0xc0000409”
If you have received this warning on your PC, it means that there has been a malfunction in your system. “Error Code 0xc0000409” is one of the worries that users get as a result of improper or failed installation or uninstallation of software that may have left invalid entries in your system items, shutdown incorrect system file due to power failure or some other factor, a person with little technical knowledge who accidentally deleted a necessary system file or entry for a system item, as well as a number of other causes.

So on this site he says that we can repair with the PC Repair application (but I think the software is paying)
Otherwise try this:
Step 1: Type Command Prompt in the search box of Windows and choose the best-matched one. Then right-click it to choose Run as administrator to continue.
Step 2: In the command line window, type the command sfc /scannow and hit Enter to continue.
Then the System File Checker will begin to scan and fix the corrupted system files. Please do not close the command line window until you see the message verification 100% complete. When it is finished, reboot your computer and check whether the error 0xc0000409 is solved.
(look at that too can be interesting) Solution to Windows Update error 0xc0000409 - solved with fix!

This sounds like the same issue as me. I have not found a fix however I may be very close to finding out the issue. The post below explains the situation well.

EDIT1: Ignore, just realized you have Store version but you can still try if you would like

It might be account related, But I have not found a fix. So in your case try logging into a different Xbox account (Not sure if it will allow you to play so, maybe might need xbox pass on new account OR use a friends account that has the simulator already if you guys trust each other) on the MS store and Xbox app. Then to make sure you log out of MSFS go and press the Windows start key, then type “Credential Manager”. After that open go and Click “Windows Credentials” and find the one that has : ‘Xbl_Ticket’ at the front of it. Remove that and your MSFS should be logged out of you Xbox.

Hi. I have this problem: i cannot play with online functionality on. I can only play while offline. I have Xbox Gamepass. I did not find this “Xbl_Ticket” at my Windows Credentials
 can someone help me?

Same problem here. Tried the MSFS support, but they only suggested to reinstall the VC++ redistributable a couple of times before referring me to the MS support. Not helpful either, they wanted me to reinstall Windows using the “in-place upgrade tool”.

Anyone tried that?

Hi guys, I hope that some of you have been able to fix the problem, unfortunately I have not been able to do anything even though I have changed my computer to a completely new one, I still have the same problem, greetings to all.

same here, tested with my sons account and I can play, but if I log in as me it crash’s on the UI synch. Solution? log in to Xbox account on an Xbox not a pc and delete the game data??? well I don’t own a Xbox, and not being able to do it on a pc is ridonkulous. My son tried on his Xbox and there is not any data to delete!! NEXT!!!

again the question.. have you installed the xbox-app on your pc ?

Yes, I have. That was referenced earlier several times and the steps would be impossible to test without having installed that. In addition if I sign in with my sons Xbox account I can launch and play the title fine. But I don’t have any of my upgrades or purchases. Of course signing back into my account the game crashes on attempting the cloud synch

have you contacted the support in this case ?.. What you describe sounds then that your PC installation is fine and there is an accounting issue. If this would be true, we can here not much help.
The only addtional idea may be that there are corrupt setting, stored in cloud, which cause the issue, but then I had not these login-issue in mind.

I have the same issue and have had it since August as far as I am aware. I’ve tried Asobo’s support desk three times now to no avail, all I get is canned answers. I wish they would at least collect a crash report or some diagnostics from me so I know that they’re trying to find a trend from all these crashes people are having, but they are not.

I’ve actually been a system admin for 10 years and I’m not new to computer problems. This, however, I have not been able to solve after five months of google searching and troubleshooting. All I know is this game works until I connect it to the internet. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn it’s DRM related.
