Everytime i try to iopen any “pop up” window, i got this error:
Just reproducting the error again, but it also happen when i try to pop window the tablet!:
Exact error when I pop out screens with CTD. And “unknown” spelled incorrectly in message.
Disappointed to only see me commenting, worries me that this may not be happening a lot and won’t get support. Deal breaker for me in using the sim.
Im having the same problem during start of MSFS 2024. CTD before it reaches menu.

same with RTX 3070 8gb. all the latest windows and Nvidia drivers updated. Glad I’m not alone on this. Hopefully an answer soon 
This is beyond ridicolous now. 8/10 times im getting the DXGI crash just before reaching the menu. Has this been acklowledged by Asobo anywhere to date?

Same crash here, exactly as original poster described.
doing some experiments. turning off all overlays seems to stop crashes on Cessna 172 G1000 popouts (2 additional monitors). Turn off overlay:
MSI afterburner (disable auto start)
Nvidia control panel → settings → NVidia Overlay → off
There maybe other magic going on, but this is working. Clean reboot twice, popout, close, and repeat several times… no driver crashes

use MSFS 2024 developer mode to get frame rates, and other stats
MSFS 2024 → general → advanced options → developer mode → set on
tool bar created in upper left. drop down Debug → Display FPS
I was running into this same issue and watched this video. For me, 15 minutes into this video, I got MSFS 2024 to start working just fine now.

I also have the same problem. As soon as I pop out a panel in the Cessna Longitude, I get the error and the sim shuts down.
Same issue here. Was there ever any workaround?
I had many issues with pop out panels in MSFS 2020 which mostly fixed by using DirectX 11 and not 12.
I don’t see a way of using 11 with MSFS 2024.
This problem causes a CTD every time and I can’t use the program.

If anyone experiencing this issue is able to provide a Fault Bucket ID (How to find your Fault Bucket ID after a crash [PC]), we’d be grateful, as the team is unable to reproduce this crash themselves. The bucket ID would help them identify the crash better. Thanks!
I was able to determine in my situation it was the RTSS overlay. When I disable that, pop out windows work. If I re-enable the overlay when a pop out window is open, MSFS crashes. It would be really really nice if I was able to use both. But for the time being I had to disable RRSS overlay.

I hope I’m in the right thread with this one.
I’m having the same issue now also in MSFS 2020 with the exact same error message and code as mentioned above. I updated my windows and I wasn’t able to get into the sim after the update. I did a full and clean reinstall of my graphic drivers, loaded in with a clean community folder, restarted my PC multiple times and checked the windows event viewer, where nothing special appeared (except an error message that the sim has now crashed) and the message I’ve linked down below.
If the sim is in the background and I move my mouse, I’m able to move the mouse pointer and the menu reacts (white borders of items moving etc.), however as soon as I click into the sim window, the error message posted in the first post appears and the sim freezes.
I also tried to open MSFS 2024, where I have no issues.
I read the posts above and disabled any overlays I have (especially the NVIDIA stuff), which didn’t help either. As @Jummivana requested, I found the following bucket ID around the time of the crash: 1161580496148635014, Type 4. I’ll also attach some screenshots of the message hereunder (sorry, it’s in german 
). I also have a crash report that it generated that I could send if it would help.

So something changed a week or two ago and pop outs were suddenly working with no CTD. Then it stopped again. Back to a CTD with every pop out.
