Crashing to desktop at loading world data 89%

1.Double click on game flight simulator 2024
2.Game loads
3.Then at 89% loading world data it crashes to desktop

I bought MSFS 2024 for my Win11 PC today, installed it for the very first time and it always crashes at 53% when it says “loading world data”. There is no error message shown and I’m quite sad and disappointed. This is the first time since 1998 I’m running into such an issue with a new game I just installed and there doesn’t seem to be an official fix.

I m having the same issue…always crashes at 53%. Did you ever find a solution to your issue? Thanks!

I was able to fix that issue but I don‘t know exactly what helped. All I did was to deinstall the Rockstar Games Launcher from my computer and an upgrade to the beta version of Sim Update 3. Now it loads and I have no issues. I guess it wasn‘t the best idea to try two fixes on the same time.

Hi everyone, I’ve been having the same problem since yesterday. Everything was working fine the day before.
I haven’t installed anything new or installed a new driver.
I’ve emptied the community folder, but that didn’t help.

Safe mode also crashes when loading the main screen.

I went through all of the troubleshooting tips that are listed in various places, then I put everything back together and did a clean install. The program launched without a hiccup. I have not done any flights however or added any add-ons. I guess I am now in the 2024 fracas! I opted to buy 2024 after installing SU16 on 2020 and experiencing multiple CTD’s in the middle of flights.

I’m having the same issue. When I first launch the game, it freezes and crashes at 58-59% of the “loading world data” stage. I’ve tried everything, including a complete uninstall and reinstall, clearing the cloud folder, and repairing files, but the issue persists. It’s really annoying. Does anyone know a definitive solution?

I feel your pain. Before I did a clean install, I went to the windows settings to uninstall MSFS 2024. I noticed there were two options besides uninstall. I think they were “repair” and something else that I do not remember. . I tried the repair option and the second option which did not fix my problem. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled from the Microsoft Store. My problem went away. I don’t know if doing the “repair” option did something before I uninstalled. It seems like it would not be connected but you never know with this MS stuff! Good luck!
