Crazy amount of stretching or FishEye lense on 21:9 monitors (MSFS 2024)

I’m running @ 3440x1440 resolution with my zoom levels set to 50 (Default) and I get this insane amount of stretching on the sides of my monitor.

Through some Googling, it sounds like this is a known FOV issue since MSFS 2020, but this looks absolutely absurd with how bad it is.

Is there any workaround or fix? Is the solution just to wait for MSFS 2024 to support Ultra-Wides?

Here’s 2 images to compare. The wing is like 2-3 times the size when viewed from the side.

I have a 21:9 monitor and I am seeing this in all games. The only solution is to reduce the FOV. There is no FOV setting in FS, so you can just use a higher default zoom setting.

Although I found the file in the following directory. I have MSFS24 installed via steam.

C:\Users*yourusername*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Thanks for that, I’ll try this out.

I know this is a year later, but MSFS 2024 FOV is not correct and can’t be adjusted to be correct.

At first I thought it was an issue because of my 3440 x 1440 resolution monitor, but it’s clearly not as when I use Xplane12 with FOV adjustments (aka NOT ZOOM, zoom is NOT FOV) are fine, no issues at all.

MSFS 2024 Stretched

Xplane 12 (not Stretched)

The WideAspectRatio = 1 or 0 doesn’t help and Zoom is NOT the same as FOV. There needs to be a graphically accucrate FOV setting in MSFS 2024.
