I hadn’t flown the Aerosoft CRJ’s in awhile. Tried to use the 700 yesterday. Everything was fine up to releasing the parking brakes. The handle moved down but the Parking Brake ON indication did not go out and the plane would not move. I removed any Mods and still no joy. Not sure if this is related to any of the last 2 updates. I have contacted Aerosoft. No reply yet. Has anyone had this issue. All the other planes have working parking brakes.
You did remove the Chocks , ? I hope …
Yes, like I said the panel still shows that they are on no matter where the brake handle is.
Can not reproduce. How are you disengaging the parking brake, by clicking or by hardware?
Airborn for the moment with the crj700 (UUEE-EDDM)
Did you check that the chocks are removed?
Your answer to BoeingPilot8795 does not make this clear to me.
It seems to me that you are confusing chocs and parking brake.
No problems here with the parking brake
Clicking the handle which moves up and down as it supposed to do.
Yes, but you also have to remove the chocs in order to make the aircraft move.
Remove chocs and then release parking brake…
Even if that were true should not the Parking Brakes On incitation turn off.
Yes, if you want to start taxiing, remove the chocs and then release the parking brake.
The indication in the lower left corner turns off.
Is not that the case with yours?
Ok, I think they have changed the chocs button since the last time I used the plane, because I don’t remember having to remove the chocs before, and if they are in place the Parking Brake On will stay on even if the parking brake is released. But what through me off was that push back worked. Thanks for your input all.
You need to remove the chocks before disengaging the park brake. Also, are you using a keyboard shortcut or clicking the park brake itself? Sometimes when I use my keyboard, it doesn’t register, so I just click on it and all works fine.
