Crj 500/700 at high altitude, drop speed, nose up with trim at 15, no deice effect. Is it a bug. Is there a solution?
The CRJ’s reaction with trim up to 15 is the normal reaction to loss of speed.
Yes, there are some people who complain about sudden loss of speed during cruise, but the reasons are mysterious.
I have never observed this myself.
However, the conjecture in the forums is that it is undesirable keyboard assignments that may cause the spoiler to extend in a kind of “hidden” mode.
Switching off the icing effects was also recommended.
Aerosoft confirmed in a post on their forums that after testing the ‘visual only’ ice option is definitely NOT working properly. You still get the added weight and performance degradation of the ice, no matter what. There is no way to avoid this besides not flying through ice or waiting until the next sim update.
Why does the de/anti-ice equipment doesn’t work on their CRJ?
It does for me. I have experienced no issues with it.
Whenever I pause the game and resume, the spoiler invisibly deploys. Moving the spoiler lever out and back to the stowed position fixes it for me every time. Very consistent bug in my observation.
This is true every time you press ESC for any reason… to change settings, to pause, to answer the phone while on approach… whatever. If you hit the escape key and return to the sim the spoilers are at 50% and not showing in the cockpit. It happens in all the aircraft I have that have spoilers.
No problem here (T16000M). This is usually associated with a wrong button/axis binding.
