CRJ4 invisible discontinuity

See this screenshot .

As you can see ,there’s a gap in the route between MANSEQ and CARBB. However ,as you can also see, the FMS seems to think it’s going straight from DONNS (the waypoint before MANSEQ, hard to see on the map) to CARBB with no visible discontinuity. It’s impossible to enter MANSEQ as a waypoint in the FMS, it just says it’s invalid . Why does the map have a gap when the FMS doesn’t ?

MANSEQ is not a waypoint, it stands for “Manual Sequence” and in real world aviation the pilot would expect vectors from ATC.

If you’re using built in MSFS ATC which does not support vectors, you can delete that portion of your flight plan and fly direct. If you fly online (VATSIM, PilotEdge, Etc…) leave it in and get your vectors.

You can see on your FMS ( VECT ) which stands for Vectors, delete that out and fly direct CARBB from DONNS.
