CTD a little after takeoff (from cold start)

Good evening. So, just like the title says, my game crashes to desktop a little after takeoff. I am unsure whether it it triggers during a specific interval after takeoff, at a certain altitude, or during an ATC conversation (I do recall it crashing after contacting departure). All I know is that it happens 100% of the time.

An important thing to note is that this happens when I do a cold start on the FlyByWire A320. If I load a save right before entering the runway or start from the runway itself, it doesn’t seem to cause any issues. Additionally, I tried using the default A320 and doing a cold start, but that one did not seem to cause the game to crash.

Now, I have searched up other topics covering this issue, but most seem to be a consistent 1 minute after takeoff. I haven’t timed mine, but they do not seem to be consistent with time, although I do believe that it is right after I contact departure, not exactly sure about this one.

Below is footage from the menu all the way to the crash (I recorded this footage in case anyone wants to see the steps. I also added chapters for the sake of skipping forward. I do not recommend watching otherwise as I too wouldn’t spend 43 minutes of my life seeing someone try to start up a plane and take off):

Here is a picture of my Community folder:

And here are all of the crash logs I have saved so far (MSFS_Crash_Log_4 is the latest one):

As for my game settings, they are listed below:

Does this still occur with an empty community folder?

Hello there. Thank you for your reply. I have not tried that yet. Like I mentioned, this seems to occur with the FlyByWire A320 and not with the vanilla one, so removing all the mods would also remove the currently problematic plane. Their startup sequences are also different, so if it is due to a step in the setup, then it would make sense on why only the FBW A320 one crashes.

I will retry doing a startup with the vanilla A320 the way I do with the FBW A320 to see if that causes any crashes. If it does, then I’ll repeat the vanilla startup but with all mods removed, although I don’t believe that will happen since Safe Mode didn’t have this issue. I’ll also try removing every mod except the FBW A320 to also see if there are any mod compatibility issues.

Again, thank you for your help, it is truly appreciated it. I will get back to you as soon as I got the results from my testing.

I have the exact same problem and, unfortunately, I’ve never found a solution. I’ve tried eliminating mods one at a time and all together, that didn’t work. I thought it might be correlated with an external camera, like if I start looking around outside the plane shortly after takeoff, but that doesn’t seem to be it, either. It used to happen 100% of the time but now it’s down to about 60-70%, again, I don’t know why. It must be something buried deep within the system where FBW is interacting with my system, but I’m not technically capable enough to figure out that. Sorry I can’t be of more hope, but you’re not alone!

If you have tried safe mode, and all was ok, that is the same as removing all your mods from the community folder.
That is what safe mode does, disable all addons, including those from the Marketplace.

Try with all mods removed but the FBW and see what happens!
