FYI - I tested my hardware stress GPU/CPU no crash - Running COD fine. So it’s not a hardware issue.

Help

Many thanks

Happened to me too many times with the 5000 series GPU. I had to upgrade my RAM to 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 and put SSD to an NMVe PCle 5.0 M2. Increased PSU to 1000W and also internet speed increased. Now it runs fine with 581.15 driver for 5080 GPU. SU3.

I had an AS Rock MB B850M which gave me CTD and BSOD’s so I also switched that to a MSI X870E Carbon wifi.

I also tested my AS Rock which indicated no hardware issues. But obviously something was throttling - it was a mystery but in many cases it could likely be your settings are too close to Ultra or your audio driver is interfering - I have seen reports of this and also the graphics settings need to be synchronised between Nvidia, windows, screen and game.

It is a little bit of an investigation mystery. There are a few streams about the 5080/90’s GPU’s, the graphics settings causing issues.

I changes all hardware so i have new motherboard X670-E, 64Gb Corsair, PSU 1500W and CPU 9800x3D, nmve pcie 4.0 M2, 2.5g internet speed. I followed this hardware after watching a youtuber. So except the type of GC (i also choosed it by a youtuber too), i’m stuck. Effectivly, i have another homecockpit with old gc rtx3080 which run fine. And you have similar nvidia driver so i’m going to download them this evening and let you know.

There are also reports of people reverting back to the 577.. drivers and 576.. - have a look at those too - but you will need to do a DDU uninstall/reinstall.

I know how you feel because I have a 4070ti and it ran perfectly - or still does. It is/was a mystery as to why the stronger PC’s had so many CTD’s. Some are saying it has improved in Beta SU4. You might want to try that to see if it is any better. But follow the instructions to the letter about your Community folder/s.

But follow the instructions to the letter about your Community folder/s. : What do you mean?. My community folder is on specific nmve like old where i never uncountered any issues. I will also if down retrieve all third addons to check. But it’s very upset to spend so much money and so much time after upgrading a computer. I was scaring that i failed hardware configuration ( i have worked in IT for 25 years and built 100 computers at least!). So i did stress test gpu, cpu and the computer keep on running no black out, blue screen for 15mn. I played with cod too, nothing happened. Very odd this story.

Community folders in MSFS 2024 where you place your 3rd party add-ons. You have to read the instructions how to make a copy to preserve your MSFS settings and 3rd party stuff.

It is not your PC it is either the settings or if in SU3 might still be the issues mentioned earlier. That is why I suggest trying the Beta SU4.

If you want to join there are clear instructions on how to do this somewhere in the official MSFS parts of this forum. I don’t do it as I am not the best at PC’s.

Also seem to be an issue with virtual memory on hard disk c. I got 64gb and with rtx5090, i put all cursors to the right as shown by youtuber, so perhaps this way too… Before, i didn’t care due to my gc was less power and not cursor to the right 90% to high. But don’t forget i got these troubles with msfs2020 which is more mature 5 years old but effectively since i have new configuration. Very odd that youtubers testers don’t report.

Try reading the many forum reports about these issues. Stability has been a problem in SU3 with 5090 and 5080 for some reason. BUT many are reporting this has cleared up in the Beta 4

Having the same issue, 5090 over here as well. Didn’t have this issue a couple weeks ago thou. Downloaded SU4 beta and I will report back.

Update: Going to the SU4 beta didnt fix anything for me.

Having a similar issue : I have been facing systematic CTDs for a couple of weeks now. And in spite of the help provided by the Support Team (clear cache(s), uninstall/reinstall MSFS2024, adjust graphics settings, RAM check, change/update drivers, make a clean Windows install…) this problem hasn’t been solved yet. And I haven’t been able to fly at all.

My config : AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, RAM 96 Go, RTX 4080 SUPER

(I am not involved in SU4 Beta)

I managed to get MSFS 2020 in steam to work but not MSFS 2024 thru Xbox app in PC.

I can say that after following some of the things suggested here I was able to get MSFS 2024 running again. Mostly, I disabled non-Microsoft services and disabled all Startups apps. Reinstalled the latest Nvidia drivers and restarted the PC. Hopefully this works for others too.
