It’s as total mess. Full of bugs, and constant CTD in VR. It starts more or less fine, but showing weird textures and even mis-rendering of the “Settings” button… At some point it freezes and in 20 seconds goes CTD.
And then blank screens, switches that won’t move even if you can hear the click, gauges that stay there frozen.
I mean, WTF.
Yep…same thing here. Was working fine in VR before the update. Now it CTD’s in about 15 min. Tried increasing the rolling cache size but did not help. As you say WTF?

Same issues here. MSFS2024 VR with PICO4 on a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti card is unplayable for me in VR
Since the release of the latest hot-fix (1.2.7.0) using motion reprojection (MR) causes my VR flights to crash (CTD) within a short period of time … immediately or up to a few minutes into the flight.
I tried ‘everthing’ to correct this problem: reinstalled MSFS2024, changed aircraft, cleared the cache, updated the DLSS version, updated the Nvidia driver, changed multiple VR settings in the sim and Nvidia driver and cleared the Community folder, etc, etc … none of these cured the VR CTDs.
I don’t know why it took me so long but I finally got around to disabling MR (motion reprojection) in OpenXR Tools … since then NO MORE VR CTDs!
Except for the fact that my frame rate is now just about 30fps (using Quality DLSS), it is pretty smooth, so I’m reasonably happy as I can now fly in VR.

Became totally unplayable with the latest update. I get constant CTD within 1 min of loading airport. Sometimes it already crashes when selecting the airport in Free Flight, just seeing the map. And this is even before I switch to VR. Sometimes the game doesn’t even load and already CTD. Game is getting from bad to worse.
Im on a quest 3. I tried swithcing to VR while ASW (reprojection) was disabled. It did not crash. Then I turned on ASW and it worked. No crash. But when I tried it again (switching to VR with ASW already enabled), it crashed again. It crashes on the VR headset while the PC(laptop) monitor kept working with the left-right eye screens, continued to work only on the monitor.
I had the same, but it coincided with an NVIDIA driver update (if i remember correctly Dec 5 or around there).
I rolled back the Nvidia driver to the last version (you can do this at the bottom of the Nvidia app driver page) and the CTD’s went away.
Hope this helps someone. In my case it was not the update of the sim, but the update of the Nvidia driver.
In that case, I hope Asobo’s next update will fix the sim to make it compatible with the new Nvidia driver and make switching to VR seemless as it was before. Thanks.
Same here as VR is the only way I fly. Unusable. The moment I activate VR CTD.
