One of the posted requirements for the sim is a constant internet connection.
This is because the sim is streamed to you from a server. It cannot work without an internet connection.

It does have a small cache to prevent momentary internet lapses, but other than that, if the outage is more than a few moments, the sim is gone because you are no longer connected to the server.

That’s right but, until SU4, I was able to play indipendently of momentary internet outages (game blocked and no connection warning until it came back); now I have CTD without any warning.

Responded to you in a DM!

I kinda understand what’s the issue is on SU4. For testing, I just disconnected from my wifi network, and for me, I have the lost connection screen (and the small popup before), but as soon as you clic on Quit, the sim goes unresponsive and you need to kill it in task manager.

If I understand well, you don’t even have the connexion required screen ?

I’m on steam

Exactly, i don’t have the connection required screen; CTD without any warning.
With SU3 I was just waiting a few seconds for connection to go back e I could continue to play.

I had something similar happen. I was on a flight, and the internet went down momentarily (rare wet weather in the desert). It came back up and everything else restored, except FS24 (Beta 4, 1.6.7, Win 11, MS store). I got the “connection to network lost” screen with the “trying to connect to the internet” and the circle of death going round and round as my chances of finishing my flight went down the drain. The screen simply stayed as it was. When I finally gave up and hit ESC, the only option there was, the screen just froze and I had to end FS with the task manager. I’ve gotten that screen before in SU3 and earlier, and pretty quickly after the network restored, so did my flight.
