You may also need to remove the marketplace items.
Same issue here. Have not had time to troubleshoot yet…
The whole reason of the beta (you know, the version BEFORE it’s released) is to find these issues so 3rd parties can fix their products. There’s nothing ridiculous. Mods break when stuff updates. That’s literally with every mod-supported piece of software.

So, the last time wasn’t a mistake. This was expected to happen with this Beta (alpha) test. At least we’re clear. You create a system that breaks when you update it. You don’t know how it breaks, so you release the broken version to the community to find out for you. Yeah, that’s how it’s done everywhere.

It’s not an issue with addons or custom content it’s a problem with the default update since it also happens on Xbox Series X just like it did a couple months ago, on Xbox it crashes on the startup screen after you click to update the 2 packages on the startup screen which is the deluxe pack and the default pack then it starts updating and then poof crash. Hope they fix this fast.

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and add-ons?
No.
Community folder has the following addons:
- lorbysi-content-hooks
- mobiflight-event-module
- navigraph-ingamepanel-charts
- navigraph-navdata
- navigraph-navdata-base
- spad-bridge-module
None of these are triggering the CTD

Thanks for the reply, I have the msfs cd disks.
I couldn’t do anything to get this sim to launch after enrolling in beta, so I uninstalled and reinstalled overnight, and now I’m in. Installing add-ons now from the Content Manager to see if I can’t isolate a culprit, starting with the Asobo stuff like World Updates. Xbox Series X.
I am really getting tired of this CTD happening, nearly, everytime there is an update. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled each time. And now again with a mandatory update! Yeah no prob with the safe mode. So the solution of adding items/add-ons back to the community one by one could take a while with a restart every time…i have 740 items in my community folder and everthing was working so sweet before this mandatory update 1.31.18

Thanks to ClydeFJ I can confirm that Carenado planes are the culprit causing CTDs in this Beta.
I agree this is really absurd, Carenado is a major, major dev for MSFS I fail to believe they didn’t even attempto to load the sim with their planes !
Anyway the ones I have are:
- C337.
- C182.
- Archer II.
- PC12.
- Mooney Ovation.

Again, beta test. It’s a test. To see if stuff breaks. That is indeed being done everywhere.

This was not a mandatory update. You are opted in to the beta program and you need to opt out if you want to stop receiving pre-release versions.

I have the following aircraft from Carenado installed:
And I’m able to load in and fly:
In fact: I also have a total of 102 community mods enabled and all is well.
I also have the BE18, C195, BE17 and V35B. Those are fine. But please notice those are Microsoft/Carenado planes. The ones causing the CTD are the ones 100% by Carenado.
My list includes:
C337
Mooney Ovation
PC12
Archer II
C182
Another user reported the Archer working fine so it’s probably the others.
I can also report the PMD 737-700 -if installed from marketplace- loads fine (I haven’t tested the plane, some users reported the parking brake stuck)

i just found out what is stopping the sim loading after beta update its the pmdg 736 737 748 i took them out and now it loads
