CTD During Every Long Flight FS2024

I am getting consistent CTD in almost every flight after a couple hours up to 8 hours. The sim will just crash without any warning. Sometimes computer freezes for a few seconds during the crash as well. Have not been able to complete a long haul so far since this started in the past few months. Happens with all planes like PMDG 777, Ini A350, Fenix A320 and TFDI MD11.

Specs:

AMD 7800X3D

RTX 4080super

64gb ram, 6000mhz

4tb NVME

Latest Nvidia driver 591.86, happens with previous drivers as well.

Here is the event viewer crash log:

I’ve been having a very similar thing happen - the few second freeze and then CTD. Event viewer just shows the game’s .exe as the fault like your situation, so there’s not much to trace down. I have a 5090FE and i9-12-900K, and downclocking the CPU to 45x max (4.5GHz) with the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility helped lessen the frequency, but it still happens so often that I’ve quit playing for the time being. I’m building a new rig with a 9950X3D and 64GB RAM (vs 32GB now) hoping that might help.

I’m also in a similar boat. I’m finding that I can do some long hauls without any issues. For instance, I’ve successfully done, RJAA-VHHH, KATL-FAOR, KORD-EIDW, KSEA-OMDB….

but then on other flights, I get the CTD in the same planes you mentioned. Oddly enough, my CTDs seem to be more common over the pacific, but I just woke up to see my flight from VHHH-KSFO had a CTD.

.dmp files can go a long way towards pinpointing the issue. I would find the folder with the files, then install WinDbg and open the .dmp with it. I used Gemini to analyze the file, just use WinDbg to open, run !analyze as instructed and copy paste the results.
