CTD during startup of MSFS after update to SU8

if you assume a issue coming from your sound-drivers, which is a common issue, then you can do a simple test case : stop windows audio service and check whether you get CTDs in-game ( yes, there is no sound ). If this will help, check for installed Asus Sound tools and remove. May also check for sound-driver updates.

Also important, If I see your taskmanager : stop tools like MSIAfterburner. It is also well known trouble maker ( more exact outdated riva-tuner ). Also tests withou running VR tools, might usefull.

And of course we expect test-cases with no installed mods, removed rolling-cache, etc 
 just all the existing hints.

Is this issue still under investigation? Because I still have constant CTD after SU8 during initial loading. Please let me know if it’s still under investigation or if I should open a ticket by myself. I do not have the time to constantly follow the forum.

Of course you can always create a ZenDesk ticket. If you want hints from the community, we just need more informations.

Same exact issue of CTD before game is finished loading into menu. Checks for updates and bar loads to ~80% and immediately crashes. 100% reproduceable. Same exact fault codes as above.

Reinstalled the game twice.
Updated drivers.
No overclocks.
No third party content in community folder.
Safe mode doesn’t work.
Checked multiple other threads apply ‘fixes’ to no avail.

Sad times.

Hello,

My case:

  • After game reset 387 MB of memory (1-2 mins of works and crash)
  • 2nd or nth run 378 MB of memory (1-2 min of work and Crash)

I think UI Thread won’t start.
