Hey all,
I got a CTD on APP on EHAM with the headwind A330, and bad weather, I don’t know if that was part of the problem. Unfortunately, I’m not very good at using the data from Event Viewer since I got a bit drowned by fault buckets, fault offsets and exception names, so if someone could help or give a direction, that would be great.
System:
i7 10700KF
RTX 3060
MB Z490 Aorus Master
Crashes that occur in flight and the FlightSimulator.exe fault that you are receiving are generally caused by outdated add on mods or third party software (GSX Pro, FSRealistic, overclocking/process management software, GPU software/drivers, etc.) running alongside MSFS. Sometimes it is just the fact that you are running too much software concurrently and the system just runs out of resources. This is why these types of crashes will occur toward the end of the flight rather than the beginning. SU15 should help a good deal with these specific crashes. For now, start by removing/uninstalling older add on mods and software and it may resolve the crashes. Even after some third party software is uninstalled, it can still leave remnant files that cause conflict with MSFS. This could also be caused by corruption within the MSFS application itself and a repair/reinstall may be needed.

Interesting - I’ve experienced quite a few Ctds when flying complex planes, however, I’ve noticed that they’ve been reduced after i reload my community folder , which i do when there’s an update.
