Brief description of the issue:
I was flying in CTRL+2 view in the C208B. I zoomed in with the mouse, and when I zoomed out, MSFS had a CTD.

I can’t, because it CTD’d

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

PC specs and/or peripheral set up of relevant:
Intel Core i7 950, 24 GB RAM, GeForce RTX 2070 Super, Windows Pro (64 Bit), 4TB SSD, 250GB SSD

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
Application Version: 1.21.13.0

This is from the Windows Reliability app. My community folder was EMPTY at the time, as I was trying to figure out why I was getting random pauses in flight every few seconds. You guys really gotta give us better tools to figure out what’s crashing the program. Blaming it all on the .exe and then dropping an ID 1000 in Event Viewer is not cutting it.

Can you confirm it was an actual crash to the desktop, and not a sim freeze?

Oh, it was a CTD alright. When I checked the Reliability Monitor it showed FlightSimulator.exe and gave all the data that I pasted above.

This error was at like 1300 something and now it’s 1936 out here. I looked back through my Event Viewer just now and there were no Critical events in the last 24 hours, however there were 117 Error level events. FlightSimulator.exe features prominently in that category, displaying only Event ID 1000.

+1, this happens to me every so often. Usually when I am in around STARs. I zoom in to take a good look at something in the distance, and CTD. ATC is usually talking a lot at that point too.
