CTD on "nvwgf2umx.dll" Latest NVidia driver

Asobo said it should be fixed in ne next beta update

Select FSR3 for FG if you have a Nvidia GPU and you will probably crash with that nvwgf2umx.dll error.

Quite possibly, and the workaround would be not to do that, at least until Asobo release a future version of SU2 that doesn’t cause that crash.

It’s not only the latest driver.
I have tried older drivers and still with

the simulator crashes after about 5 min with

Please try 566.14 specifically.

One other user has reported this has resolved their issue.

For some reason I think this crash is also CPU temperature related.

Nope, my temps are fine.

I tried this version of driver (566.14), it seems more stable but after a while CTD still occurred always nvwgf2umx.dll

I was going to skip SU2_beta, but curiosity won out!
So far, my first flight with the Cessna 172 Skyhawk G1000 went smoothly - no issues, no CTDs.

Latest Nvidia driver (572.83) on an RTX 4090 + Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000 CL26 G.Skill.
For testing purpose Windows 11 23H2.

Mine was actually temp related. After a major quarterly dustbusting of the CPU heatsink it seems to be resolved.

If you are in SU2 beta 2, that is what fixed it. Didn’t have that crash yet in SU2 beta 2 and I never had CPU temp issues.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes, event viewer shows nvwgf2umx.dll as the faulting module.
NVIDIA driver version 572.83

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• my CTDs most commonly occur when in a menu while in VR although once it did crash in aircraft (737-max) after about 30-40 minutes of playtime in that aircraft.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Are you on the 1.4.10.0 beta?

Yes I am indeed
