One day later now, 2nd day (27 March) on the SU2 Beta. After launching the sim there’s a CTD after loading a free flight. According to the event viewer it crashes on the “nvwgf2umx.dll” driver

Also been getting this ever since updating to sim update 2, also to the point where the game is unplayable now.

• yes

• I’m unable to access Free Flight under any scenario without a CTD. Rotating the globe to position anywhere results in a CTD. The game is unplayable.

It also throws the same CTD when activating AI Traffic like FSLTL and AIG.

When I get home I will check my driver version, and whether I even have that file or not, and get back to you.

+1, CTD on every occasion for me too. Reproducible by opening free flight map, and panning to select an airport, then CTD every time. SU2 beta. 2024 was stable before.

Interestingly driver v566.36 so this is a MSFS issue, not a “latest nvidia version” issue.

I had similar crashes the first evening of SU2 testing. However, after removing the FSLTL base traffic models from my Community folder yesterday, I had no further crashes. Interestingly I was not even injecting any 3rd party traffic but still getting crashes with the FSLTL models in my Community.

I confirm, the FSLTL models crash the sim, I don’t think it’s the nvidia driver.

Crashes without FSLTL Folder also…

I have driver version 566.14, no crashes. I do have that file in a number of locations:

Ending a flight, scrolling through different aircraft in the aircraft menu then suddenly, back at my desktop, entire program closes with out any warning.
• I don’t know if this is related to MSFS or, Nvidia new driver update 572.83, but i am assuming its more related to msfs, because i have rolled back the new NVidia driver and msfs still crashed. Turn off over clocking, made a few changes in NVidia control panel, removed and re- added NVidia frame gen , AMD frame gen, removed all NVidia and amd drivers, updated windows latest 2h11 update and its still crashing. Removed all caches but still crashes.

It appear that this dll is causing this issue, well to me that is “nvwgf2umx.dll”
Tried removing it but couldn’t even changing security permissions to myself but still cant get rid of it. when i do find the associated program via dwm.exe, i ended that task, but then it latches on to another task like “Explorer” which i obviously need for my Start button and taskbar icons.

Even tried different settings inside of msfs general graphics area with DLSS and DLSS frame gen on > DLSS and AMD Frame gen, turn off Frame gen, still crashed. Only one i have not yet tried is TAA, but i am not too optimistic

Can those of you crashing try 566.14? I get no crashing with that.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• No. Clean install with DDU, complete reinstall of MSFS2024 with SU2, then OP’s steps - able to complete full flight.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• From what i know this driver fault is caused by this issue.

There might still be other causes, but using no traffic, 2024 native livery fot ini a320neo worked fine for me. Even with a few other addons like GSX
