Zendesk responded to a support ticket and indicated that they are aware of this issue with SimConnect and they plan to have it fixed in the next update. This affects Plan-G in the same way (CTD as soon as you connect or immediately if you are already connected and start a Bush Trip).

Hi guys, then I can confirm that is “FSUIPC7” the problem, Tried to start MSFS without starting FSUIPC7 the Bushtrip is working… 
Yes, I can confirm this. Bush trips load OK when FSUIPC7 is not running, but just CTDs when it is during loading.
