Description of the issue: When selecting the default A330 in the free flight menu, the sim crashes every single time once upgraded to sim update 4.

Came here to bump this and say it is occurring either upon initial selection or a few minutes into preflight 100% of the time for me. I have tested this on a clean install, no Community folder contents. While I am currently on SU5 Beta (1.7.11.0) this issue is not new to the beta. I’m confused how this issue seems to be affecting some, but not all, users as this is obviously a very popular aircraft in the sim, so many users are clearly avoiding this issue somehow.
As I’m using an AMD GPU and the OP is on Nvidia I don’t think it’s necessarily hardware related. Could be settings related? Overall I’m running TAA, no frame generation, but with FPS capped at 40fps and VSync on half my monitor’s refresh rate.
Unfortunately, until this is resolved, one of the most popular default long haul aircraft in the sim is unusable for me and anyone else in this situation.

Power Management Mode - set to “Prefer maximum performance”

Yeah, I’ve got no clue what the issue is that’s causing this for some and not others.
Marketplace add-ons?

Try disabling all purchased Marketplace add-ons - airports, aircraft, liveries - that you have installed.

Yeah, I guess that would be the fully nuclear approach - I’ll try it. Do you have anything enabled in your test, things like World Updates? Wondering if I’m safe to just remove 3rd party Marketplace content and leave 1st party stuff.
I have everything installed that was possible to install, including all World Updates.

Well this is just one test, but looks like it might be good news/bad news.
Good news: Looks like it may have been a Marketplace addon conflict!
Bad news: I have no clue what it would be as nothing I disabled directly interacts with the A330 family of aircraft
Make sure you try it with a “vanilla installation”.

Yep, that’s what I’m testing now and so far, no issues. The majority of my Marketplace content is other aircraft and liveries. I’ll begin the tedious process of elimination steps next, probably dividing all the content into two groups and seeing which group causes the CTD, then divide that group, etc., etc..
I’ll be sure to report back here with my findings to see if the other users in this thread may have the same or similar problematic Marketplace content.

Try dividing that group into two.
