CTDs are back for me; just returning to MSFS after 4 month hiatus

Returned to MSFS this week after 4 months off. WU New Zealand and SU12 were forced updates.
I had not had CTD issues for most of 2022; they had pretty much stopped completely after one of the SUs (can’t remember which). I thought that CTDs were a thing of the past for me.
So, I tried a simple 1.5 hr DA62 VFR flight from 2R2 to KBRY in USA, just to clear out my MSFS cobwebs. Was disappointed when first flight ended in CTD. So I thought that maybe my Offline AI should be reduced from 100% to 40% as I recall that back in early MSFS days, AI could cause CTDs. Second flight also ended in CTD. Maybe I’ll try another with AI off. Or maybe I’ll just go back to playing some other game.

and what is the question for the support area ?

There are lots of hints in FAQ and within the forum if you get a CTD. What you tried already ? In special the cleanup of appdata, rolling-cache, old community-mods, if relevant the hosts file ( google-maps-replacement-mod ) , etc etc etc… sounds important after months of not playing.

If you ask for help, then for interesst is, as allways, the error-message from windows event log ( and new is: there is may be a CrashReport file within appdata ) and other informations you can give and which might important ( e.g. in-game settings, drivers, etc ).

None. I’m just complaining/whining!
Also, I am aware of the posts/FAQs with various fixes; got real familiar with those a year or two ago.

I think it’s the Offline AI Traffic. No CTDs with it off. CTD after ~30-60 mins with it on. Repeatable.
This explains why my experience in 2022 was free of CTDs: I was using AIG traffic exclusively with Offline AI Traffic off.
I personally think that there’s still something wrong with the Asobo traffic.bgl file. There was a freeware fix for this back in 2020 where someone had corrected a bunch of bad flightplans within the .bgl, but apparently that freeware fix is not compatible with the more recent SUs. Shame.
I tried the very new freeware “World Overhaul” to replace Asobo Offline AI Traffic. Unfortunately it also CTDed. But I’m not surprised, because the instructions.pdf states that they reuse Asobo’s Traffic.bgl so if the Asobo .bgl is indeed messed up then the problems may have been carried over.
Oh well.

Dear, have you done a sfc /scannow in cmd?
The CTD or BSOD that I usually have is due to corruption of the windows files.
