A321:
ah I didn’t know there was a payware A321! The price is kind of low price gives me pause though, do you know what quality of fidelity it is? the description on the webpage gives basically 0 information
BAe 146:
ah yes how could I forget this bird, I actually own it! but don’t fly it often. maybe i’ll dust her off soon
EMB-175:
this looks interesting! however it says its early access so I assume that means many of its features aren’t working yet. will need to research to see if it’s worth it.
I think there is a major drop-off in terms of quality (both the model and in particular, the avionics/controls) so do you research before you spend any money.
Its just the default A320 with a different 3D model. Not really a simulation. Get the FENIX if you want an airbus simulation.
Also, the A330 from Aerosoft should release pretty soon.
PMDG 777 is also on its way, and of course the new Asobo ATR.
The BAe146 is also awesome, but has a learning curve and is a „hands on“ plane to fly, not as automated as newer aircraft, but its absolutely awesome!
About the Ejets:
Well, its an early acess product, its pretty dxpensive for what it is at the moment. I wouldnt call it a product to recommend, RIGHT NOW, it hopefully will be when its finished. Its kinda like paying for an early alpha version with not much more depth than the default airliners.
Oh, the default 787/747 will get a big update next month with AAU2, so they will get pretty usable i guess.
I would avoid the E175 because it requires you to install Aerosoft One. Not only is the software a total mess that throws files and folders all over you machine, but it has some nasty DRM stuff that runs while FS runs. I just purchased the plane and was shocked by how bad and invasive Aerosoft One is. Go for the Fenix or PMDG–they are both great.
Aerosoft One does not run. Some utility they use for DRM or activation does. Also discovered when you uninstall Aerosoft One it leaves remnants everywhere.
I second the Maddog. It’s an excellent all around add-on. I keep finding myself going back to it when I want a more involved and challenging experience.
The MD-80 is difficult at first, but very rewarding once you become proficient in it.
thanks for the suggestion! curious though with the md-80, how do the textures and graphics hold up compared to the other current-gen jets like PMDG and Fenix? I’ve looked at some screenshots of the cockpit and it doesn’t look very high resolution in a lot of places. Has the dev worked on that at all?
