Regarding the GNS 430/530 Marketplace add-on, it seems you need it for some 1st, 2nd and 3rd party aircraft still.

Do we still need both versions of the Garmin GNS 430/530

This confusion continues to be, uh, confusing. I’ve uninstalled the Marketplace GNS Add-on. You could also edit the panel.cfg file for each of the aircraft that still use the Asobo GNS so that they use the WT GNS, instead.
