Cursor offset

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

On PlayStation 5, the cursor target is offset. When pointing at a button, a nearby different button gets highlighted instead.
This makes interaction frustrating, as you need to move the camera around repeatedly to correctly select the desired target.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Occurs intermittently, but frequently enough to significantly affect usability.

MEDIA

I’m attaching three screenshots for reference, though the issue is not limited to the positions shown.
The airplane is Airbus A320v2, but I’ve experienced the same issue on other planes as well.

On the first one, I want to press the Secondary Flight Plan on the MCDU, but the “A“ button is highlighted:

On the second, I am pointing to the transponder button, but the flaps lever is highlighted instead:

On the third, I am targeting the APPR button, but the Vertical Speed knob is selected instead:

I get this too. Also happens with the windows. Often can’t select an option in the ATC window for example because of the offset.

SU5 + PS5

Adding a mouse to your PS5 is my opinion the first must have add-on. Inproved my experience so much. Clicking buttons is now much more easier.

4 months later and still no fix. I’ve talked to other 2 friends that also play FS24 on PS5 and have this same issue, and it really is annoying to keep moving around, zooming in and out just to find the hitbox for a single button. also it’s almost impossible to use EFB/ATC Comm due to this bug.

There are only 2 upvotes to this bug report. I don’t think they are even considering it.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: When entering cursor mode with an Xbox controller, any interaction with it, whether in the cockpit or the EFB, works fine for a moment, until it actually “loses” its aiming zone, preventing the player from performing the necessary action despite being hovering over a switch/button.

In the EFB, this affects clicking on areas like the blue eye in the checklist. There’s also ghosting when scrolling laterally in the weight configuration area when interacting with that section of the EFB.

The only way to fix this is to move around the cockpit to reselect the switch/button or close and reopen cursor mode. The latter only provides a temporary solution.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Continuous

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Enter cursor mode.

  2. Perform any action in the cockpit or EFB while in cursor mode.

  3. It works fine for a while, but after a few seconds (it’s not always the same amount of time), the aiming zone disappears with the small circle, preventing any action.

  4. Closing and reopening cursor mode fixes it, but we’re back to steps 2 and 3.

YOUR SETTINGS

XBOX Series X with a single XBOX Controller

Wow, I see I’m not the only one. I created a thread in the SU6 beta. All I can say is that for now, try exiting and re-entering cursor mode to temporarily fix it. A vote on my thread would be great so that Asobo can fix it.

xbox & xbox-controller tags added since as per @Exterminatus93 post also happens with this system.
