Before the separate [A32NX] came from I had on A320 Neo (including the A32NX) my custom camera views (outside) via “Alt 1 -0” for some great views. Now after installing the separate “Development” aircraft, my views have all gone, I realise that it’s a totally new addition, is there any way I can copy the camera.cfg from the A320 Neo to the separate A32NX, or do I have to do it all again !, and what happens when they update it every 12hrs or so ?. Thank you
I believe you will have to do it all again, if you run into replacing aircraft with third party aircraft in the future, it may be beneficial to copy the camera setups for easier setup later.
Oh that’s a shame, OK I will try and do the whole process again then. So every update that the Flybywire team do an up date (no matter what version you have “Stable, Development, Experimental”) I will have to repeat the process and paste my camera.cfg into it ?
If you stay on the same build for example you stay on stable and just update to the next stable version, it shouldn’t be an issue, but i’m guessing the files would be replaced when changing the build to versions like experimental build.
Yeah that makes sense then, thank you for your opinion
No need to do it all over again! Your custom camera views are stored in a folder like C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_A320_NEO (if you use the Store version of MSFS). They are not replaced by the installer. The new installer uses a different folder name. Just make 1 new custom view and save it. A new folder will be made. Copy the camera.cfg file from your earlier version of the A320 to the new made folder and overwrite the existing camera.cfg file. Before you install a new version of the A320, make a backup of you camera.cfg file, repeat the process and use the file it in the new version. That’s it.
Thank you so much for that info:+1:
Hello @GoonerKev54,
I moved your topic to #third-party-addon-discussion:aircraft
because your question is about the FBW A320.
The default aircraft category is for discussing base MSFS aircraft.
Thank you and stay healthy!
