Custominstallexec.exe not found when launching MSFS 2024 PC

After installing Patch 3 I am getting the pop-up Windows cannot find ‘C:\WINDOWS\system32\custominstallexec.exe’. every time I launch MSFS 2024 from the Windows App menu. If I click OK, the Sim launches OK. Is there a way to fix this? I tried App reset, even uninstalling and reinstalling Sim from scratch. All to no avail. Its annoying. Thanks in advance.

One more thing.. I checked in C:\Windows\system32 and there is a file CustomInstallExec.exe there so the error message is totally confusing.

I think I stumbled onto the solution. I went to the Microsoft Store App, Selected Library, located Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Opened it from within the store. After allowing the Sim to load fully, I exited to desktop. Now the sim launches correctly from the PC Applications menu without throwing the annoying popup.
