Mine always said DA40NGX. I believe it comes from (for example) en-US.locPak

Ah I see. I mention this because the DA62X mod displays DA62 (no X) as expected…
Which aligns with default. If the same edit could be made for the next DA40 NGX update that would be great. Thanks for the locpak file reference!
Yeah, I was also confused by this as I expected that both mods would have the X added after seeing the NGX name. I think there might be some issue with changing this that was discovered after one or the other.
Confirming the mod is installed can best be done by looking for the gray triangle on the default livery image. This works for the DA40NG and the DA62X.
Exactly. IMO changing the name is a little much… that different thumbnail is perfect. Not intrusive, but still lets you know the mod is active.
Yup im removing the X next update. Im a dumb dumb and couldn’t figure out why it still said “DA40NGX”
thanks for the clarification
Ah yeah me neither… thanks to davux it’s in the locpak files
Changes:
Probbaly also some tiny things that i forgot to mention, its been a while
Nice work! Thank you
The rest of us had been wondering what kind of wizard can change the aircraft names…
Thanks for this update. Lots of real nice detail work you’re doing here.
A big thank you !
Hello! Is there any need to start tinkering in the flight_model.cfg file, to counter the post-update flight dynamics bug?
The lift_coef_flaps value thing?
Good job Mr. Tommy, enjoying all your mods. Thanks for your all your time and efforts to make our sim-life so much better.
Its weird. I initially finished the flightmodel before the update.
But i did verify the performance again after the update.
It kinda seemed alright.
Im honestly not sure. I need to test and see
Many thanks for this great mod! This is fantastic! One little thing I noticed is that the fuel gauge on the MFD only shows 14 gal max instead of 20.5.
That’s apparently how it is in the real plane - if you look below the right hand side of the PFD got can see printed information on the fuel tanks and display including “max. indicated fuel Qty.: 2 x 14 US gal” and you can also see the same thing on a real aircraft.
It’s definitely weird but presumable Diamond have a good reason for doing this.
Thank you for the Information. It’s definitly weird. If you didn’t show me that picture, I would not believe it. I’ll check the POH to find out, what’s the reason for this.
