FLC Nose Up and Nose Down are reversed

  1. Description of the issue:
Firstly, thanks so much for the great new version! Too many negative articles online about slow load times, not enough about the vast improvements you’ve made. My bug report is regarding the autopilot. When using the FLC feature on the DA40NG G1000 GFC700 autopilot, the actions of the Nose Up and Nose Down buttons are reversed. When you hit FLC, the reference speed is correctly logged in above the airspeed tape. But when you hit Nose Up, the reference speed increases. It should decrease. And vice versa with the Nose Down button. I believe this was an issue when the original Working Title G1000 add on was introduced and later fixed. But the error has reappeared. I know my assessment is correct as I own and fly this aircraft in real life.

  2. If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
    DA40NG

  3. Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
None added, this is the original release version with no additional mods

Confirm on the Cessna 172

Upvoted; I have not tested this across multiple autopilot systems but can confirm it occurs in the Cessna 172 G1000 as well, as seen below:

In Flight Level Change (FLC) mode, pressing the nose down button should increase the target airspeed while pressing the nose up button should decrease the target airspeed. This is because FLC mode adjusts the aircraft’s pitch ot maintain the selected airspeed. Pressing the nose down button commands the autopilot to increase airspeed by pitching the aircraft down. Pressing the nose up button commands the autopilot to increase airspeed by pitching the aircraft up.

The Nose Up/ Nose Down behavior in FLC mode is currently bugged because it reverses the behavior of the buttons as OP explains.

Same with the Baron

same with the da62

I can confirm I get the same with the C172.
Also, clicking on the heading knob does not set the current heading.

Seems like all planes with the G1000. I think it was correct in MSFS 2020.

Double click the knob with both mouse buttons.

Thanks! I’ll try it tonight.
