Daniel Webster College C172 over KASH at sunset

Daniel Webster College was a premium flight school based in Nashua, NH. The school kept the tower there busy all day long, 7 days a week… Just finished up 5 of the 19 C172’s they flew (N671DW - N689DW), will create all 19 and release hopefully soon… I’m trying to figure out how to package them. Here’s some pictures of one of them doing some circuits around Boire Field at sunset.

Great Pics. Those are my old stomping grounds. Unfortunately that area in FS needs some love. I was disappointed in the USA update as it really didn’t do anything for the poor scenery in that area. Heading southeast out of Nashua, when you get to MA it flips to photogrammetry so not to bad but southern NH, not so good. Love the paint job.

That’s too bad, just realized they are reprocessing the files here, reducing the color depth, which is causing the banded colors of the sky in that last pic, and the stars aren’t quite so there…

Your pics look great. I was speaking of the scenery of southern NH in sim leaves a lot to be desired.

Oh, yeah, I understood that, I was just making the comment myself when looking at that last picture. When I saw it, I had to check back to the picture I uploaded. At 4K, the gradient is nice and smooth.

I’m happy enough with the scenery in the area. I would like to see Haystack Observatory properly represented, and the Concord capitol building is covered all over with trees, haha. Taking off out of R30 at Concord in the sim, “Where’s the capitol building??”, normally it stands out like a sore thumb!. And in the latest version, we lost that huge warehouse to the south of R35 in Concord, too, it’s just a picture on the ground, now. But, for the most part, the scenery matches pretty well with what I see when I fly. Terrain is pretty good.

Not the best pictures from my rental (the front windshield needs to be replaced it’s so scratched up), but here’s a comparison

Coming in from the west on the Capitol building…

Flying into Lebanon in the sim is the adventure it really is, haha. The other day, I was coming in from the east (for real), (I’ve only been flying again for a short while, and I don’t remember having ever flown into Lebanon for real… maybe a touch and go during training?), and, rather than telling me to come in on a left base for 18, he asked me to come in for a left downwind. And at exactly the same time there was a Bonanza coming in from the south that he told the guy to come in on a right base. But the sun was directly in my eyes and I couldn’t see the terrain and there was no possibility of me seeing the other traffic, so I had to fly in high to get over those hills that parallel the runway. Thankfully I had flown the area in the sim many times, or I may not have even known those hills were there from just a sectional for reference. I could not see at all. I probably should have asked for the base. It all worked out ok tho. I got to the downwind before the other guy, but, given my altitude and the fact I couldn’t see him, we just extended my downwind and let the other guy land first, by which time I was positioned properly for landing.

I sure miss Lakes Region Airport (8B8/69NH). I used to love flying in there.
