Is it just my problem? Every CRJ (550/700/900/1000) starts “cold and dark”. There is NO reaction on any switch input. No battery start. Nothing happens. I can start on the runway with running engines and fly, however, the cockpit is still dark, no display at all.
The start up state is selected in the EFB, under the Aircraft tab.
Drag and drop whatever state you want into the bottom right “Default State” location.
Like I said before: There is absolutely NO reaction on any switch action - that means: I cannot start the PAD and therefore not choose any state.
So it doesn’t really start cold and dark, but all functions are frozen?
If so, the first thing I would suspect would be a mod conflict causing that.
That’s what I thought first. I already tried with an empty Community folder. Same thing…
If you have any Marketplace addons, they might cause that.
You could try starting the sim in Safe Mode to confirm it

CRJ is working fine on my end. I’ve done 5 flights in it recently both in 700 & 900 variants. I got my copies from Aerosoft directly not Marketplace.
I’ve only ever done starts from the gate, so not sure it’s the type of aircraft that is usually started on the runway.
Usual start from C&D is to turn tablet (press the screen), ext generator ON, then overhead panel for BAT switch on, Ext power ON and then screens start to come on.
If you can’t get the EFB to turn on and its not a mod causing it then perhaps a reinstall in case something is corrupted.
Ive never had any issues with it and Ive been away from the CRJ for ages until this last week.
Can you maybe try starting at the gate and see if anything can be turned on?
If not then try a reinstall assuming no other mods or conflicts going on
I have the CRJ 550/700 from the market place and mine works fine. In the cold and dark state I am able to click on the tablet to turn it on.
Thank you all for your help. However, nothing solved the problem. I had to re-install the program. Now it seems to work again.
