ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

I am using Xcloud to play the game, so this is an xbox issue i persume. The problem is, that I often get black screens on the garmin (most commonly in the Vision jet - i only have the cessna 172 and corvallis to compare).

First mission usually goes fine, second mission - especially if its with bad weather or complex terrains - the plane already loads up with dead navionics and i cannot make it work, the only fix is to restart the game (reloading the stream does not help). One time avionics died when approaching final which resulted in crash (could not turn off autothrottle).

Black screens in the vision jet makes it impossible to fly/use.

If I only use the cessna 172 for missions - maybe its weather related since i fly those only in VFR and warmer countries - this issue does not appear so quickly and sometimes it actually doesnt. But in the 172 i discovered that the AP actually does work even if the screen is black, its just not showing anything.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

Mostly Vision jet, also Corvallis, the least in 172.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every single session. Usually this happens after about 1 hour of play/streamtime. I read somewhere this is a bug with memory leak on the Xbox version. Also this affects the bad quality textures etc … which also happens to me after playing for longer, but its a separate issue.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. open MSFS 2024 game in xcloud
  2. load up vision jet in IFR weather near the alps
  3. finish one mission and load into a second one, almost 100% the navionics will be black.

In some aircraft such as Boeing, Airbus and Cirrus Jet, the avionics turned black and only appeared again after a while or after restarting the game, which was very disruptive in free flight mode regarding career mode.

This happened to me on xcloud.

The same thing happens to me after some time playing or out of nowhere, the screens go black and come back after a while or only by restarting the game, it’s not because of the weather or etc.

Glad im not the only one.

Since i made the post, i acquired the pc12 as well. Im flying in sunny weather in Africa and it rarely happens, however with bad weather the issue appears also in this aircraft.

Also - when doing the ceritifcation for jet liners on the 737 - had trouble there as well doing the tutorials and then the license - had to restart in between. Same issue of dead/unresponsive avionics.

When navionics are dead, also ground textures work poorly.

From what i can gather, this has to do something with memory leaking or something (bad weather takes more processing i guess, bigger planes have more screens etc). I rarely have issues with VFR weather / clear skies, and even then after 2/3 hours of playing.

• using the default starting engines buttons CTL+E the aviation instruments come to live but after several (~30 )seconds they die / turn black.
Shutting down engines and restarting them again does not help, they remain down

When I went to get my jet engine license, the Cirrus jet’s avionics went black, which forced me to restart the game. As I play through Xbox cloud gaming, I had to wait 15 minutes.

I am also an xbox series s user & have had this issue for awhile. I am not playing off the xbox cloud but in career mode have this issue usually after first successful flight. It definitely coincides with frame rate loss. Does anyone know whats happening? Or is this something i have to live with until whenever.
