I agree in majority I was just thinking about very short reply, not engaging in any discussions.
It would make users feeling like they are being listened to, that is all.
maybe if it is one-way only
some sort of banner pinned at the top, but with no way of replying to it directly
Helicopters are aircraft. I think you meant aeroplanes.
We’re certain that the Asobo Team are taking note of what is being aired in these posts but heaven forbid that Jorg has read them all for surely he’s got better things to take up his precious time.
More new content, perhaps MSFS2028 you mean?
Great.
Hoping for it as well but I see many people use “hope” word
It makes no difference if they read it, because also lots of the reported bugs are deleted from the buglist. Asobo only pickup the bugs they find relevant.
Good lord, I don’t know how many times the message needs to be given. They are reading. They are listening. CMs are monitoring here and elsewhere. They are collecting data from wishlists and bug lists. You are being listened to.
Now wether that translates into action you can be satisfied with at a pace you can be satisfied with is an entiiiirely different matter, and frankly, you have no entitlement in the EULA to the action you might expect. But you have been told repeatedly that you are being listened to, and there’s no reason to suspect you aren’t.
There’s no doubt the game has significant merit—after all, the forums wouldn’t be so active if players weren’t deeply invested. People are playing the game, but its current state is undeniably buggy, and that detracts from the overall experience. The developers must focus on bug fixing and enhancing the core gameplay to regain player trust.
The new concepts introduced in MSFS 2024 have the potential to outshine 2020, but only if the issues are addressed. Career Mode, in particular, is a massive draw for new players, and its bugs have been a significant source of frustration. A better release state could have led to much stronger sales, especially given the game’s high visibility and established fanbase.
What needs to happen:
- Fix Career Mode: It’s a key feature driving interest in the 2024 edition and could be the main selling point if polished properly.
- Focus on a smooth player experience: The bugs and release issues have tarnished the initial reception. A smoother release could have boosted both sales and reputation.
- Maintain long-term commitment: It’s critical that Microsoft sees the value in continuing to invest in the game, despite the rocky launch.
The poor reception on Steam reflects how much the community values a quality product at launch. Unfortunately, by releasing an unfinished and buggy game, they’ve dampened the momentum they could have achieved with smoother execution.
However, pulling back development now would be a catastrophic mistake. The MSFS franchise is too valuable and has too much potential to risk abandonment. Developers need to look at examples like Hello Games, who managed to win players back with free updates despite an infamously poor launch. They turned No Man’s Sky from a failure into a beloved success with a small team and limited resources.
If Hello Games could achieve that, Microsoft, with its nearly limitless resources, can absolutely turn around MSFS 2024. The game has an enormous potential to become something truly special, but they must commit to the fixes and deliver on the promise they’ve made to the community.
It’s critical for the future of the franchise that MSFS 2024 is pushed through and developed to its fullest potential. Anything less could jeopardize the entire series.
Hi there, sorry this is unrelated but I’m hoping for some insights:
Are the developers aware of the flickering/flashing textures on Xbox that starts to happen after just 2-3 flights, sometimes, less?
It’s really difficult to enjoy the game in this state. That, and some performance optimisations would be very welcome.
Also on PC it’s not only on Xbox.
Sometimes it happens also on PC after a longer flight.
VRAM stays sometimes very high after taxiing to the parking and then flickering/flashing starts.
Yeah, there doesn’t appear to be anything in the SU1 for this. Unless it’s connected to the vram problem, maybe.

Please post all feedback on the SU1 Beta in #su1-msfs2024
Thank you!
I’m not experiencing those anymore, experienced them maybe just once around Henada (Tokyo) but the issue disappeared once I flew higher and didn’t return as I flew lower and back to Haneda. See you in the beta discussion thread - I’m generally happy!
From the time I spent with the beta, I didn’t notice them at much either. I only kept the beta for a couple of days, because every flight would end up with a cdt. Hopefully they can improve stability for the official release.
Perhaps, this might help you too:
I increased the rolling cache size from 32 GB to 100 GB, and now less CTDs. But I still do get them from time to time.
Off I got to opt back into the beta I’ll see how I get on with 100gb
never was interested in flying boxes in the sky and taxiing to boxes…weeeeeee
I think your visuals might improve because it’s storing a LOT more data if you go into Online options and scroll down to see your data consumption. In the public build, it seems to be barely consuming any data no matter how large your rolling cache is or how many flights you do in a single session or even multiple sessions.
Odd.
