They got several major things wrong which, while unforgivable, I can at least understand the difficulty.
But the absolutely basic, easy and obvious faults really are shameful. In the C172 G1000 for example, a doughnut in the middle of the display, the Nose Up/Down buttons are reversed, the range-changer knob is reversed. All these OK of course in FS2020, but changed for the worse in FS2024. No-one at Asobo could have flown it to try it out, or else they just couldn’t-care-less?

they dont care on quality, they do not use their own product. these all are basic issues, one single flight from A to B would have revealed so much. but they dont.

I think at the moment a lot of employees of Asobo are developing new scenery, famous flyers and so on for the customers and forget the state the sim is in.
They did that with the 2020 version while the most users at that time calling for bug fixes.
In four years time they brought a lot of new items, but don’t solve the bugs and inconsistenties that are still open.
Why anyone think that there way of working will change.
I think that a lot of problems we now have will not been fixed within a short time.
It’s two months after the release and what have they fixed already?

yep. they have way too many aircraft in the sim, alone the default ones, then all the famous flyers and legends and whatsoever.
they throw it into the sim, but alone the sheer amount makes them unable to maintain and deliver updates. not even one of the Asobo aircraft is using the new flight model.
only team trying to deliver is WT sorry to say.

Hi @PliantWings5288,
Just for clarification, a lot of the new airport scenery for world/city updates, as well as products such as the famous flyer/local legend releases are created in conjunction with development teams like Gaya Simulations, iniBuilds, and Aeroplane Heaven to name a few.
Thanks
The MSFS Team

I wonder how many 3rd party devs have been unable to survive financially recently. And it seems much of the community is expecting free updates to already purchased 2020 items. It will be a long time with no income and the prospect of learning the new SDK and updating older projects for free.
the SDK 2024 still not working as it should, see PMDG or iFly statements. fix only coming with SU1 in March. they are unable to develop seriously for 2024. an other example how MS Asobo cares for 3rd party devs (spoiler: not at all).
true, community stopped more or less purchasing 2020 items. sales dropped to 20% or so (FSR500 dev for example)
devs can pull out of ms store and go to stores like orbx for example. marketplace sucks anyway. but still very diffidult for them

That’s great, but introducing new things while the sim is unstable with a lot of bugs and has a bad performance looks to me not what customers want at this moment.
When i look at Photogrammetry there is in four years time no visible improvement, a lot of buildings, cranes and other objects are still eaten by concrete monsters or topped with acid. Scenery ground levels are bumpy or has holes or craters. VRAM use is absurd high and that takes away a lot of performance in the sim.
There are so much bugs and inconsistenties have to be fixed before introducing new items in my opinion.
Now Asobo brought ships in MSFS2024 and that looks not to been tested.
They are sailing everywhere they should not be sailing and are to big for some of the waterways. It’s a disruption of scenery they way it is programmed now. So that brings extra visible disruption of the scenery.

Then why are FS2024 helicopters so much easier to control than their FS2020 counterparts?
if a helicopter can be flown easily then the flight model is most probably borked.
a heli in real live is everything but not easy.

The point is the flight models are noticeably different, therefore the statement that the new flight model isn’t being used cannot be correct. Whether it’s more accurate or not is irrelevant.
i talked about aircraft not helis.
I am looking at the initial post title.
Do you guys think Jorg actually reads that or it is just us socializing?
He never responded here so I am curious.
Some CM staff said he’s reading much of the forums.
The whole forum is more or less us socializing. The amount of replys is very limited from the official side.
Beside this there are 6 CMs as far as I can tell. They cannot answer every entry.
Some others might look at the forum but are not allowed to do official statements. And I do not expect them to do.

OK, so if he does , wouldn’t it be nice to say something every few weeks or so?
I am sure people would appreciate it a LOT.

exactly, i would rather have 4 good planes than 40 borked ones
and when they realize that everything’s a mess?
“i know what we need! more planes!!”

Not sure tbh… I think he uses the Developers Livestream to do that kind of stuff. He’s the Big Hot Shot of Flight Simulator, I bet he’s quite busy and has a lot of responsibility.
I think we’re lucky enough to have him around almost every month talking to us. Not too sure personally engaging on the forums would bring much more.

Of course.
I know he is busy, it would be just great to hear directly from him:“hey I am here” keep complaining…
personally i dont think anyone has anything to gain from jörg engaging directly with the users
its the same as with the president (im serious) the staff must take on the job of engaging with the media, and, given that in here there’s absolutely no chance that it won’t degrade into a full blown argument, i think its sound practice, i would do the same
