That’s what I meant. Just leave 2020 as it is.
Analogy: I still play Anno 1503 sometimes.

I was just-about enjoying flying my TBM in career mode. Despite the fuel issue a workaround was found, and after flying a few missions with it using the workaround, the dev team decided to completely remove it from career… Feels like they’re actively spiting us now…
There is nothing wrong with fs2020… it runs like a dream with many addons and is fun. Fs2024 has a LONG way to go before ita even close to fs2020. Maybe even years. Happy flying! Or not…
I have to agree, so far, we have a game (bugged) not a sim.
I agree with this.
I am hoping that with 2024 out, now 2020 becomes stable as a rock, barring the server side issues. But I hope ms can leave those alone as well, and just keep them in long term maintenance mode.
I don’t need any radical changes in MSFS 2020, just game breaking bug fixes. I am fine if i don’t get seasons, working atc. I am fine if I don’t get any new airport / aircraft here. There’s plenty to pick from already. Plus some more are planned for it as well like the bluebird 757. It will become my comfort sim which will always be there to go back to when 2024 is being let’s just say “temperamental” which is very frequently as of now.
Skip the world updates too. I don’t mind.
Wish the whole world data was available for download in 2020, but apparently bing data is not owned by MS and they can’t allow us to download this for permanent storage. For other online services, active sky and fsltl is already there.
Even 2020’s world data is several petabyte, I don’t know about you but I don’t have that amount of storage.
Well in that case scratch that. But wish they give us proper offline mode (atleast one that I can get to work on my system) and some ability to download parts of world, may be with lower detail, but the second point is still not that important if they have decent autogen and texture synthesis. Yes, it won’t look as good, but still it will be something.
Here we are a month after launch and the sim still looks bad, has more bugs than day 1, career mode is meh, and free flight is a total embarrassment. The big 3rd party airliners aren’t here because they don’t work in the sim nor have the proper support from Asobo, Inibuilds pushed back their 350 because the sim doesn’t work, and we’re still missing 2020 add-ons “that should easily just work in MSFS 2024” (a quote from Jorg in August).
Fun times.
Ok, is your first Flight Simulator? Any news plateform need 3-6 month for port any 3th party aircraft and stabitlity… Already have many aircraft is already port like A300 and T33 from inibuild, Avro RJ from just flight is already ported … also beta of Fenix A32X series. (Compared to MSFS 2020 after 1 years after release … have Zero big add on beside CRJ from Aerosoft)
Next patch include the fix relate crash with Sim Connect and WASM Networking.
How can you know?
… for you, and a group of others… These generalizations… who is helped by these comments?
I have seen the number of (cautiously) positive comments on this forum grow since patch 3.
There are still fundamental issues. Some simmers luckily keep taking the time to document those. They are helping to bring this gigantic undertaking further for the common good.
There are numerous posts with tips on how to troubleshoot, and repair the installation. Those seem to help some simmers.
I would suggest that first hour 2024-simmers who run into issue first do one or more of the following:
Could’n de-init wasm with fsNetworkHttpRequestGet - [MSFS 2024] Bug Reports / WASM - MSFS DevSupport
This has nothing to do with ‘getting started’ in the sim; we’re well past that. Our frustrations are we still don’t have good airliners in the sim, with the exception of Fenix and Inibuilds’ A306. The default aircraft in MSFS 2024 do not even come close to comparison.
So, why not try career mode? I have and it’s one thing I actually do enjoy, but it’s got so many silly bugs that cause progression issues, loss of $$, or even completing a 5 hour flight just to have it not register so you just lost 5 hours. This happens at least a few times each week in career mode.
My point, as well as others points, is there should be a fully working team cranking out fixes left and right. This isn’t 2020 where we just accepted “the sim will get good in a year or two.” That is not what 2024 was sold as; so why are we still a month+ out and have terrible bugs, some of the worst graphics in a NEW advanced sim, etc?
That’s the frustration. So sure, I get people are trying to get a bit of positivity out of this, but it’s beyond frustrating considering the amount of $$ we’ve all spent in this broken sim.
that’s just not true; and no, it’s not my first platform. Jorg told us time and time again “this is the most advanced simulator” - do you feel that to be true?
So, my point stands. I am not a jerk and just expect this sim to work 100% perfectly, but I sure as heck expect immediate fixes and not long lengths of “the team is aware” or once a month dev streams from Jorg saying “we’re getting 4 free general aircraft” *(that 50% of us won’t even use) as some sort of “thanks for hanging in there” bribe.
Think about all the people who may have purchased or received MSFS 2024 for Christmas. this is going to do nothing to help this community that we all love. That’s my point.
Next patch may fix “simconnect” but just going off history with this franchise, it will add 40 other bugs to it.
Wait for the next wave of unsatisfied users “treating themselves” to fs24 for Christmas.
users have the right to be unsatisfied, i really want to enjoy msfs 2024, i love this franchise, but the problem is they didn’t bring to us a finished product with all the features that were advertised by the developers for months. i don’t know why they didn’t take in consideration many issues that people shared in this forum in the last 4 years.
Latest .
Many British Aerodromes with a D Airspace have now got ,
“Request D Airspace Zone Transit”
in the Tower Option List.
See my other Thread. ‘Kudos to Asobo’.
There are smaller Aerodromes with a control zone that don’t.
They have 2 nm radius GND - 2000ft.
Can fly around.
Also, dose not look like the carry over aircraft from 2020 ( at least not the Beech 18) have had there GPS unit updated.
Just loaded up in 2024 on Xbox and it’s still the PRE-WT guns unit and cannot be used for navigation at all.
