Are you on Xbox or PC? If you are on PC, you can try the “empty folder trick”, however, I can’t find the original post for this workaround.

I made a video that clearly illustrates the tragic server capacity, blurry textures. At the moment MSFS 2024 is unplayable.

I tried to fly today. Flight school and challenges not loading, world map is blurry. Worked fine yesterday. But yesterday I got 6FPS because my VRAM exploded on high settings. Worked the day before.

“The aviation experience that our trusted partner Asobo Studio created alongside other first party development teams is the best we have ever made.” Yeah, right, I haven’t had a single nice experience with the sim to this day. It runs like ■■■■ and wasted so much life time to get this thing running!
Fortunately I didn’t purchased it yet, just spend 1€ for 14 day Game Pass. More than enough to play beta tester for MS/Asobo.

PS: Yes, I don’t run it on a banana. Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX4080, 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM, 150mbit connection - more than OPTIMUM system requirements

This is not optimum. This is extreme high end PC. You should be getting 116 fps, not 6.

Unbelievable. And I thought we had it rough on XSX.

So bad so bad so bad, the worst game I have ever played. Even Cities Skylines II worked better than msfs2024 at launch.
Started a free flight with A400, blurry like hell
Tried the twin otter, crash
Never able to play career mode, black screen and crash
Landing a TBM, crash right before touch down
No sound in many aircraft

“Unplayable” is a bit hyperbolic there. Yeah it seems like the servers aren’t pushing the higher LOD stuff sometimes, but come on


I have loadings time of more than 20 minutes for freeflight and you can never tell if it locked up or not. Tell me about come on.

I can confirm servers give blurry weak textures on ground and photgrammetry today
 god knows why

I think this sums everything up about the textures and bug-fest in this sim. And the developers just can’t ignore that as they did in the last days!!!

Hi all, I tried using my son’s account to log in (as suggested last night). Unfortunately, I had the same results (constant CTDs). That means that my high end computer is completely unable to access the game.

This is not good news. I now have no idea where to turn. I have tried everything without success!

So I should still wait to try the sim? I don’t feel like wasting the free month of Game pass that Aerosoft sent out as compensation for the delayed limited collection delivery time.

 hard to say.

Some people are able to play and have bugs they can deal with
 Some people, like me, cannot play. In my case due to massive FPS along with VRAM problems.

At least you need to find it out for yourself.

I assume until we can play as we used to in MSFS 2020
 we need to wait 1 or 2 month.

Perhaps you are struggling with the speed of your internet service

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems. It appears the total experience is varying wildly for people. I know at least one youtube influencer installed it on a completely separate drive from the 2020 version, but I really don’t want to do that when I already have a 4TB nvme that is only partially used. I’m trying to decide if there is any setup that should be done prior to downloading the 2024 version to avoid any conflicts with the 2020 version that is on my drive now. I’d like to give it a shot, but the issues people are describing is telling me to wait. Don’t know how long I can do that though, since the Aerosoft gamepass code was sent out in lieu of LCE customers not getting their packages in a timely manner for day one playing.

Plenty of us with VERY good internet and same issues
this is not the end users problem.
