Default A320neo blackout bug

That is soo sad!! :frowning:

It’s really unacceptable mate. I’m having a stellar experience graphicsframe rate wise and no crashing on xbox series s but this little bug is just making up for that in a bad way haha

Especially in the airbus whereby we don’t have any backup instruments to continue with. Everything is glass cockpit and digital. So you’re really screwed up when it happens.

If you see people saying turn up the brightness on your PFD, ND and ECAM it’s NOT that either.

Believe me the last time it happened I stopped dead on the runway after landing and sat there for 10mins checking for ways to get the displays back. Brightness does not work. Battery pack resets dont either.

The whole display system is in fact completely off from the get go. It’s not a display issue it’s definitely deeper than that.

The only fix needs to come from the developers! I hope they read these forums

Have had this a number of times in the 320. Once in the 747-8

Just now had it in the caravan as well. I was on initial approach when it occurred, but have had it during cruise in the 320 so not sure if it is position related to flight.

I’m on xbox btw

At least…no issues with the Cessna Citation …hope, they will fix the rest soon…

Im having the same Issue, its unbelievable. I bought an Xbox just to play this Game and this Bug completely destroys The Game for me.

This happened on my a320 neo at least 2 times for 1hr flights. It also happened on my TBM last night when i flew for more than an hour! It always happened when I am close to the airport at around 4500ft

i have same problem. one of mate say`s the problem is the screem brightness, but in my case also the engines get shutdown and was impossible to get start again.

Its not brightness it’s a more complex bug than that. I’ve fiddled with the brightness for pfd and nd in the airbus. Tried lighting adjustments too. Another user just there reported it’s not rolling cache either as he switched it off and flew offline. Still same bug replicated.

So we now know:

• it was reported on pc last year
• it is not as a result of live traffic/multiplayer or AI being on or off
• it’s nothing to do with rolling cache
• it’s nothing to do with adjusting brightness of cockpit displays/instruments
• usually happens on approach mainly but some users experience it in longer flights before this phase while in cruise mode.
• it seems to affect all aircraft with glass cockpit avionics systems.
• it’s nowhere to be seen on any feedback lists that asobo release periodically in relation to their future fixes and developmental roadmap.

Do we have to march on France to get them to listen or something?

In my case, happened to my in the Xbox. 2 times happened to my and in the both case was going to Charles De Gaulle, first time in short final, the engines still working and I can land the plane without problems, but in the second time happened after past the T/D, like 22.000 pies altitude, the aircraft completely shut down and was impossible to continue flying.

Yeah I’ve been left to land a functioning aircraft with no displays on about 90% of my flights in the Airbus. Unacceptable

I’ve seen plenty of occurrences where this was improper setup of the a320, not saying it isnt’ a bug, just that at times its a “setup” issue.

Double check:

  • Are the engine generators running
  • Is the Engine switch back to Norm
  • Are the Batteries switched on (periodically check)
  • Are the Batteries full or draining (periodically check)
  • Do you have enough fuel in the inner-wing tanks? as the aircraft doesn’t drain from the outer-wing tanks directly. (it transfers this automatically, but is quite buggy at times)

Edit: From your screenshot it seems the lights are still on, which rules out a power/battery issue, so in your case its definitly the bug it seems which has been around since day 1.

Yes yes and yes. All systems are as they should be. Definite bug because it’s affecting a lot of users.

I just was made aware that asobo are investigating this issue. Hope they have a fix

I have precisely the same issue. Not only A320, 787 and 747 the same issue in 1 or 2 hours flying. Screens are Black. Also the radio does not work. Continue fliying with this issue, the game exit at the Xbox menu.

Yea dude I did the same thing and it makes me only wanna fly GA planes which is something I didn’t intend to do. I was hoping for a flawless 2 hour flight (YMML-YBBN) and the part where I most needed all these screens they all decided to turn off. Disappointing

Hopefully in next update a fix will happen for this. It is, afterall, in their top known issues and rightly so. It’s so annoying

Yeah hopefully, but at least they are aware of it .

This seems to be a common occurrence using the Thrustmaster Quadrant also.
Before SU5 and the Hot-fixes I could use one Profile for all GA aircraft and at least
get them up in the air and fly no problem.
Now each aircraft as failures, so I have to start with default and make a Profile for nearly every single aircraft I use. And worst of all the " Control Options " has also been wrecked by SU5.
No button lights when you bind them on the screen, no roll/over button tells you if it’s on or off.

Asobo seems not to care about PC users now as they have your money!

Click this link to how we fixed the glass screens going off on the 172 using TM quadrant, I presume all controllers will be different?
Who would believe turning off ENG 1 & 2 switches would bring the Glass screens back on?

Just flown in the Beechcraft King Air and the Avionics went Black as I lifted off the runway.

To get the Beechcraft working I did the following.

These may only apply to the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant? ( Starting with Default settings in control Options)

Deleted … “Toggle Engine 1 Fuel Valve”
Deleted … “Toggle Engine 2 Fuel Valve”

Added … Avionics Master 1 ON ( Joystick button 3 )
Added … Avionics Master 2 ON ( Joystick button 4 )

Flew around for at least 30 mins and the Avionics stayed on.

It seems the PICTURE of the TCA Q-ENG 1&2 quadrant appears in the " Control Options " as if it is configured for use in the Sim and you may be able to fly the A320, but that’s where it ends, as the Asobo /Microsoft settings have been trashed for all other aircraft.

I received a reply from the Microsoft Support Team:

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator support today.

The display is going black when the battery becomes completely drained. To prevent this from happening, flip the the Starter 1 switch to the off position prior to starting the flight or double check your keybindings. Additionally, check the magneto switch on your yoke. Set it to “Both” and not “Start.” Start will also drain the battery.

Kind regards,
Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Team

I don’t thimk rhat the Batteries are the Problem…but i will Check it the procedure…
