Check out the Boeing 247 if you want another twin radial like this one. It works fine but beware the oil temperatures aren’t displayed quite right. There’s a community mod to fix it, but you can also just use oil pressure instead to manage the engine. And the developer has disappeared and abandoned it without any updates. Even so, it flies pretty well and is insanely detailed.
Thanks, I would appreciate knowing what the betatester found out.
Ok, this is prime engine 2. To use with engine 1 change “CARVAR_SW_PRIMER_LR” in condition to 1
and TOGGLE_PRIMER1.
For now, animation isn’t working but I edited template to fix this and will be out with next update.
Is there a list of LVars with explanations available?
There are some in PDF guide that came with mod. I’ll update with more on next update.
Open Dev mode, behaviour, lvars, list lvars changed by plane. There it is.
@AlexBap8588 One suggestion i have is can you add a option to have normal bendix/collins old school radios, this aircraft has great visibility for vfr and is fun to fly but the inbuilt gps nav takes away all the fun.Flying vor to vor would be so much fun without gps in this.I like flying props and fly the king air steam gauge only because it has those radios, but the visibility is ■■■■.If the beechraft 18 gets those radios going to drop the king air for this.
The GPS is also a nav/com. I fly by VORs and NDBs and use the three radios, nav1 (GPS), NAV2, and ADF to triangulate my position.
i know the gps is nav/com since you can see on the small screen where you are flying takes the fun out of it,getting lost when vor signals go out and having to navigate by looking outside or using just the compass until you catch onto another vor or signal.
Also is there a way to make this think go bit fast, like add a supercharger or something.or replace the junior wasps with actual full scale wasps.
Try playing with the values in engine.cfg. Back up your files first.
I also prefer to use just NAV radios, but for now, my focus is to improve existing systems. This being said, changing avionics to just radios is something I want to do in future.
Sorry, but this is a no for me. I want with this mod to recreate this beech as real as I can. That’s how I like it. But as UnsealedKarma36 said, feel free to play with engine.cfg values to suite your needs.
Totally agree with your approach here
Any inaccurate enhancements as regards performance or otherwise would I think be detrimental to what you are trying to achieve here.
Please let’s have the Beech as accurate as you can make it.
I have plenty of jets in the hangar should I wish to fly high and fast.
I dunno about you guys, but I here the engine soundfiles reapeating while in cruise.
I can’t unhear it and It drives me crazy.
Maybe someone can confirm and @AlexBap8588 can forward it to the creators.
remove the soundfolder, then it is ok…
I got the same thing in the Norseman.
Has anyone figured out how to disable the free castering? It is listed as an option in the mod notes, and told to “see guide” or something, but I can’t find how you turn it off.

New big update 1.2.
Read first topic.
Wow this is very exciting! I can’t wait to try it out. Thank you so much for using your talent to bring us this incredible mod. You are giving life to this aircraft and it is amazing.
Thanks again for the additional dedication and hard work
One remark concerning the new oil features, maybe also useful to others:
I set a oil tank fill level already before the first flight, in the “world map menu”, as it showed “0”.
But although the slider was at 7 gallons, the plane didn’t show oil quantity ingame.
My solution: setting the oil tank level ingame (with the weight menu button in the top bar) and oil shutters pulled. From then it “accepted” the oil in the gauges.
(maybe it has something to do with the described persistence between flights)
