What about the developer livestream that was announced for today? I can’t find anything on Twitch. Canceled without explanation?
Rescheduled.
Okay! Thank you!
Disappointing. Delays have been a common theme lately. From SU15, to recent dev streams, to the 707 and now today’s stream again.
To be fair they are entering the final stages of bringing out the most advanced flight simulator the world has ever seen. Plus its holiday season.
I think they can be forgiven.
Holiday season? The holidays, I’ll be broad, are Halloween thru New Years.
What I also don’t understand is on their submission form for the Dev stream questions, they note they are still not ready to talk more about FS24. That seems odd. We barely learned more at FS expo, aside from a reviewing of the trailer. The way it’s going it seems they’ll be tight lipped until September October.
Summer holidays are a thing for many people all over the world.
In any case, the July developer stream isn’t cancelled, we just had to move the date to accommodate some scheduling issues.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
When is it rescheduled for?
Scroll up to read this post:
To be announced. They will probably say the new date on thursday (development update).
Well, let’s see:
- Developer streams for on-going, free updates from a major studio. How common is that?
- SU15. The fifteenth free update to a 4-your old AAA title. How common is that?
We oughta be glad we’re getting all of this free stuff and regular developer streams at all.
I’m also just glad that MSFS2024 is coming in November. I don’t need them to feed me tidbits about it to keep me entertained until then. I’m not an impatient kid waiting for XMAS anymore.
Nevertheless, I’m with you on the 707 delay but those complaints should be directed at Aeroplane Heaven, not Microsoft.
Yeah. I mean, It’s ok to get disappointed if you are expecting an update or the dev stream and it gets delayed. But people are overly dramatic sometimes. Delays happened before and will happen again in the future.
I like they are transparent with the community, sometimes people forget most developers won’t share as much info as Jörg usually shares with us.
There’s a reason he isn’t ready to talk about MSFS 2024, because they are still finishing it. Once he talks about something, he needs to deliver it or people will riot.
Of course, the funny thing re: 707 is that they could have released it early, but then everyone would rightly complain about the product being released before it was ready. - You just can’t win as a software developer.
I’m also glad it’s coming out before the Christmas season. Imagine all that family stuff getting in the way of exploring the new sim.
