The radio is not functioning. It is not possible to change frequencies, and the comms panel displays the following message: “The electrical system must be turned on to use the radio.”
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
All the time
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Scenario 1:
Attempt to change the radio frequency using the radio controls in the virtual cockpit.
Frequency changes and toggling the active frequency do not work.
Scenario 2:
Open the frequency panel from the menu.
No actions can be performed, and the message “The electrical system must be turned on to use the radio” is displayed.
It doesn’t look like the Garmin system where you’d control your COM frequencies is turned on in the included screenshot. Are you able to hit the “ENT” key to enter into the avionics to see if you’re able to change and activate COM frequencies once the Garmin system has started up completely?
Pressing the ENT key does not change the situation, unfortunately.
You can go past that screen into the GPS functionality, but the radio functionality doesn’t work. Frequencies can’t be changed or swapped.
By using the 3rd-party PMS50 GTN750 addon from the toolbar, I was able to change the standby frequency, but even the GTN750 addon was unable to swap standby and active.
