Did Bing Maps regress in SU3 for 2024?

Did Bing Maps regress in SU3 for 2024? In the previous map before SU3 flying in the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway vicinity (KIWA) my house (built 2020) was visible albeit under construction. Now the whole subdivision is back to farm fields! The terrain looks like from 10 yrs ago!

I think that question is hard to answer in general terms - it heavily depends on the region.

Falling back to an older version for some areas may also relate to fixes for the tiles popping in - sometimes there are newer tiles for higher resolution levels that visually don’t fit the other levels by color or general quality, so these may be replaced with an older but more consistent set.

That’s somewhat guesswork on my end but it may be a somewhat logical reason for this to happen. In regions I regularly fly to in VFR I didn’t see a regression compared to SU2 during the Beta.

Moved to User Support Hub > Scenery & Airports as OP is requesting advice from the community.

Thanks for the explanation. I suppose it makes sense. Although I’d be disappointed if my home area is a regression I’ll just have to live with it. Hopefully as I fly with SU3 I’ll notice substantial improvement in other areas that’ll make up the difference, like yes this was worth the wait. Otherwise I’m starting to lose interest and tired of waiting so long for fixes. I do realize I need to give SU3 some time. I think 2020 Bing was more current than this current 2024 map around KIWA.
