DirectX Graphics Kernel Error

Hi , when I try and play MSFS if i try and Fly , the system crashes with a BSOD TDR Failure. When I check the Dump File log , every time it happens it’s the same error caused by the " dxgkrnl.sys " driver.
Any help would be awesome.

Before doing a search on the Net for the reported file (dxgkrnl.sys), have you tried to update the drivers to the latest version 527.56?

Hi ClevererElm yes I have updated to the 527.56 , I just performed a CMD prompt sfc /scannow and after the scan it reported that it found a number of corrupt files that it also Repaired them. The laptops manual says that it’s supported Memory Configurations are 4 ,8 ,12 , 16 , 24, 32. I have 20GB installed , not sure this would cause a problem ,as the 20GB is listed in Task Manager.

This shouldn’t affect getting to a BSOD.

After updating your video drivers and doing sfc/… do you still have BSOD?

Your Operating System( 10.0.19041.1865 (WinBuild.160101.0800)) is out of date.

Install this tool is an extraordinary Azzecca garbugli (Guess garbles) .

Reset Windows Update Tool

Just tried MSFS and it BSOD just before the main menu and the exact same error, should I try the Update tool you recommended. I Just recently did a Clean reinstall of Windows 10 via the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft , so your telling me that my version is out of date and needs updating .

Well Good news folks, I watched a video on TDR Failure and the guy suggested using MSI Afterburner to reduce the Core clock and the Memory Clock by a small amount , I used -110MHz on each one and reduced GPU Max power from 100% to 90% and now I’m able to Play MSFS perfectly on High End setting and no TDR Failure anymore , the game seems to load smoother than before and quicker. Also
the GPU is at 71’C and CPU at 70’C. My conclusion is the error I was getting was related to an Insufficient Power Supply , the power brick I’m using is the 240W PS ,so I think I’m going to have to upgrade the PS to the 330W PS available for my laptop.
i think this solves this problem .
