I’m using an Xbox style controller and it’s not letting me use throttle controls to pass through throttle detents. In FS20 I could let off the assigned throttle button, then press it again to pass through a detent. That still allowed for the lock to stop the throttle lever properly, but also an easy way to continue when necessary. In FS24 when I reach a detent, it stays there unless I unlock it with CTRL+F/R.
This is a problem in situations like the turboprop certification mission, where you are required to simulate a short field landing with reverse thrust on the 208B Caravan EX. I’m currently required to quickly find the correct keyboard hot key binding, which takes extra unnecessary time.
I tried binding my controller throttle to the next and prior throttle detent options to match the keyboard bindings in hopes it would operate like FS20, but that simply causes my throttle to immediately jump to the various detents rather than simply unlocking them like the keyboard bindings do to continue fine adjustments.
If this isn’t currently possible, I ask this to be moved to the wishlist category so I’m not having to create a basically duplicate thread to request it. The request being to make throttle control work like it did in FS20 for controllers.
