Disastrous Performance/Framerate after MSFS Basic Update for City Update 7

Likewise. And I have no clue about how to fix it. Tried everything without any positive result.

I was seriously wondering wtf is wrong with my pc? Strangely though, my 3060 maxed out 25 fps in 1080p with default C172 in small regional airport. Should absolutely not be the case. Previously was upwards of 60 fps in that scenario. I can’t fly with any traffic anywhere, forget about International airports. This needs a fix because I shouldn’t need to spend the next year figuring this issue out on my own. Asobo must have broken something huge during this update, which is when I noticed this issue from the start.

I think I“ve found the solution.
Unistall GPU drivers
Reinstall them.
Reboot.
Remove Community folder.
Open MSFS and delete rolling cache (if using)
Clean Directx cache
Reboot
Run MSFS and test.
Mine went ok, and them I renamed the Community folder back and it“s normal now.

and keeping the photogrammetry installed you get normal performance?

Same Problem here after die Update to .19

Clean driver install, delete all Cache, empty community folder not working. normaly 30-40fps, but afer the update arround 20 fps.

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
32 GB G.Skill DDR4-3600
Ge Froce RTX 2800 Super 8 GB

I don“t fly onto big cities with big photogrametry, mostly regional airports, so i can“t confirm.
But that crazy stutter everywhere has finally gone.

Your cpu is getting hammered I suspect you still have a third party add-on running that has a compatability issue with the latest updates.

With an empty community folder the same problem. Same Airpot EDDL, with the Standard Cessna 208. Nothing Change on my System.

Something is very wrong here so use this link to check/repair any corrupt system files.

i check this, nothing found. No corrupt files.

Ok that’s great and we can check that one off the list. Can you pls take a screenshot of the sims graphics and traffic tabs and post them here thx.

Hello, I can confirm that I have the same issue but no solution in this thread so far helped me out

You might want to check out the link below:

I only fly VR and have the same issue with my Pimax Crystal. Unfortunately Pmax had an update to their software at the same time so naturally I thought it might be their software update. But after weeks of trying settings both in sim and in pimax software I came to the conclusion that it might be the small mandatory update. I was getting so much performance and uplift before all this that I could run many settings in Ultra and the VR at 90hz with clouds on high in my 4090 and 7800X3D. Now that its stuttering so bad I don’t even enjoy it and have stopped flying for now.

I’m following this thread in the hope someone finds a solution, as I am also suffering this fps drop after a small mandatory update was installed around the time the world update for Germany was released. I was under the impression this World Update caused the issue, but after reading some other comments I have changed my opinion.

My AM4 system is based on 5800X3D + RTX 4090 + 64GB DDR4, ranking Excellent scores in 3D Mark benchmarks. I was using a Reverb G2 V2, but have moved to Pixax Crystal Light and was hoping that this would resolve the issue, but unfortunately it does not.

I have the resolution for the PCL reduced to 75% and with Fixed Foveated Rendering enabled am getting 50-60 fps with Little Navmap and FSLTL active. OLOD/TLOD 80 and Clounds Medium. With this I am limited by Main thread and GPU is 17ms. When taxiing out of EHAM fps dropped to 30-40, but once airborne I had a stable 40-60 fps.

In C152/C172/DA-40NG I still do have this, but as I moved from DA62 twin engine to CJ4 to reach other destinations in a 2 hour flight, my last 60 flights were in the C25C Cessna CJ4 and there I do have the fps issues.

Today I still had the 40-60 fps after takeoff, but I did have a discontinuity in the flight plan, so mid-flight I needed to change my flightplan. Once I entered a replacing waypoint in the FMC (MCDU ?) and pressed the excecute button, I noted a framedrop resulting in 32-39 fps. Also the mouse pointer in the view started to flicker and it was hard to press buttons or rotate the altitude knop. A temporary solution for the mouse pointer is to click somewhere on the ATC panel, then the pointer stops flashing and I can rotate the altitude button, but after some seconds it starts flashing again.

Then I approached my destination (today Cape Town) and had to program the approach. I was told ILS Z for RW19 with a CVT transition. After programming and excecuting the approach, my fps dropped to 24-26.

Unfortunately a ZAFAIR 737 was in my way and I had to go-around. In the CVT hold, I reprogrammed the approach and excecuted the flightplan. My fps dropped to 16-17 and this is sickening in VR. Also after landing and taxiing on the ground the fps remained 16-17 fps.

I have tried lowering OLOD/TLOD when the fps is dropping, but that does not have any effect. The CPU render time is at 10-12ms and also GPU is doing nothing, fans are at low speed.

I have tried to log all this, but am not sure what is the best way. HWINFO is clearly showing the reduction in fps and reduction of CPU and GPU load, but I do not know how to output a process log from MSFS 2020. When enabling the debug mode and fps window it is only partial in my left eye and I cannot see what is going on. Another user on redit saw a loop in a log window, eating away CPU time, but I cannot find that. Also the fact that flights in debug mode are not in my log, is keeping me from flying with debug mode enabled.

Question: Any suggestions how to find what is changing after a flightplan modification in the FMS?
