Can’t get it working at all…Trackir appears in the control panel, and works fine in its own “test bed”…but absolutely dead in MSFS…worked perfectly prior to update…
All the other challenges which are being documented, leads me to believe that we have another “SU5” on our hands…

What did you have to do?
Go to input settings and set the mouse profile back to default. Deleted the new one, and for keyboard as I haven’t changed that.
Edit: Looks like this works ok at first but switching between VR and 2D can cause things to just break and require a restart.

I confirm, there is a serious issue with TrackIR. As a work-around you can open the toolbar when your in flight → Camera–> activate TrackIR.
You will have to do that several times because the Sim looses contact with TrackIR all the time.
Hope they will fix that asap, because this is a really annoying bug

The tree bug or better lack of trees in Southern Germany is still present. Is it planned to get it fixed?
Apart from that the update is great! Thanks Asobo for all the contents and improvements over the time. Now, please fix the issues in Germany regarding the tree density.

What are you using the AI controlled flight for? It’s a very strange feature in a flight sim to begin with. Just watch a cockpit video on youtube.
If I let the AI control the plane I see the plane going up and down in the approach stage and then crash. That was not the case before the last update.
ATC issue is back … ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhrggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

Yeah, these are solid perspex-like material latches, no? And this is light refracting weirdly through them, nothing more. Not made of metal mate, yeah? … not broken…
Ok well they’ve done something to far exaggerate the effect, it wasn’t noticeable before, and most of the time when you notice something you haven’t before it’s because it’s not correct.
My gpu card temperature has increased with over 10-15 celsius with this update. I remember I had similar increase of temp on a past update and I didnt use the sim for a long time after that. Suddenly start using it a while after simupdate 6 and it was much better. Better performance in vr and lower temperatures. Now they are as high as ive ever seen it. I get almost 70 celsius just lingering in the menu. Im hoping this will be adressed and corrected.

Mine took 6 hours but my download speed is only 25MBs
I use it - or at least attempt to use it - because it is there. If it wasn’t there I wouldn’t worry about it, but because it is there, and because I always intended to use MSFS 2020 as a virtual tourism tool, I want it to work. It never has. Ever. At this stage, Asobo should either withdraw the feature or properly fix it. As things stand, it’s a running sore and it never gets any attention from the developer.
Make it work, or exclude it from the sim.

My loading time has been improved from 05: 12.50 to 04:45.06 I have about 75GB in the community folder.
I don’t have any trackir problems here…

My feedback:
DX12 no, i didn’t have any illusions but i have expected it to be at least not slower then DX11. In fact it seems to be waaay slower. The game becomes a slide show with DX12 enabled and nothing looks different. Seems to be same code now running in DX12 nutshell, seems not to be utilizing any of DX12 highlights yet. Lets see what devs make out of it, but right now its really not worth it. Sticking to DX11 for now.
VR Controls. In general i love it, was waiting for that for long time. Though i see there a couple of issues that need to be reviewed. Using the flight controls, operating levers and gear switch all works nicely. But as soon it comes to flip switches, small buttons and knobs the fiddling beginns.
Its difficult to hit small items such as flip switches, knobs etc… The proximity area that activates cockpit controls seems to be way too small. Also once activated tuning on small knobs and even on the trimming wheel is a major challenge. Its almost impossible to input something precisely. The value goes crazy when tuning a knob it jumps up and down by huge numbers but entering something precisely is basically impossible. This becomes an issue especially with the trimming wheel. For some reason as soon you touch it, first it goes up to maximum +20° and then you can tune it, but even if you go all the way down it goes only down to like 0° and hits its limit. In reality you would grab it on the top again to tune it further down. But as you release it and grab again it sets itself again to +20°. I could rip my hair off with that. Decided not to use trimm wheel with VR controls for now, instead mapped trimming to free buttons on the controller. Hope it will be adressed anytime soon allowing better control over cockpit elements. Otherwise any IFR would not be possible as managing the flight computer with this, is a big pain.
Also there is a problem with multi engine aircraft. You can only move levers separately for each engine. So when you setting throttle you need to set it for each engine individually. Same with prop and mix. This is really ■■■■. Especially when flying the F-18 everytime you need to change thrust you have to fiddle around with the throttle levers. Very unconfortable. In Reality its easier of course, you move both levers with one move usally and do it separately only when needed. There should be an option to sync the levers. So if you move one, you move the others too.

oh really !!! can you post the settings in your control menue belonging to Trackir? What is on your system different that your Trackir is working in MS2020?! Mysterious. … Mine is working only in the trackir app but not in MS2020. I have 2 green lights but no moving is possible. When I press F12 to center the right green light disappears (showing the connection status with the game).

Start msfs first and then Trackir…
And choose another hotkey than F12
My template is “smooth” and i use a button on my TM warthog throttle as hotkey.
Edith: after updating the trackir game list in the upper right corner of the TIR software, the device stopped working here too…
